A large, spacious home with a private bedroom and bathroom (large tub) on you own floor. Feels like a mountain cabin. Quiet and peaceful!
2 mountain bikes available for use. A bike path less than 1 minute ride from home.
This room has hardwood floors and faces east across Scott Valley. Conveniently located to freeway and 10 minutes to San Francisco and easy access to Wine Country. 5 minutes to Whole Foods, yoga, bank, post office and other conveniences. Bike paths and a swimming pool to use as well!
The room is located on the lower level of the home and is very quiet and private. It opens into its own private bathroom with full bath/shower.
The home is situated atop of knoll and is very private so rest assured you are no staring at or can hear neighbors. Easy parking and safe.
The home is located 2 miles from downtown Mill Valley and bike trails are easily accessible. I even have 2 bikes you are welcome to use in addition to the swimming pool.
The upper floor has a large great room contributing to the feeling of being in a large cabin mountain home.
I do have a very friendly, happy white lab so you kind of have to like dogs!
My home is a non-smoking/drug free home.
Interaction with Guests
I enjoy good conversation but also know my guests want their privacy and space!
It's peaceful, quiet and easy access to downtown and San Francisco. best weather in Mill Valley as well! 1 minute to hiking and bike trail is below that goes all the way to Sausalito and towards Tiburon.
Yes - 8 minute walk to public transport.
Other Things to Note
Lot's of places in Mill Valley - know the weather as there are many micro climates here. Scott Valley is the best weather - cool, fog breaks early if any at all when other parts like Tam Valley are socked in.
Stay close to good access, traffic at times in Mill Valley can be not so fun. Scott Valley has best access over the hill to Larkspur/Corte Madera and located in a private valley minutes from 101 to give easy access to San Francisco.
As they would want their guests! Non-smoking home, no drugs.
Chuck's place is really incredible! Just like in the pictures.
Me and my girlfriend only stayed for one night - our biggest regret is that we didn't really get a chance to get to know Chuck.\
We had the whole downstairs floor to ourselves - bedroom and bathroom were sparkling clean, everything was really nice.
Even though we didn't get to see Chuck much, he was incredible responsive and easy to communicate with.
Would highly recommend staying with Chuck if you're looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway 10 minutes from Muir Woods / 15 min from Sausalito.
Chuck was a great host and everything was as advertised. His house is beautiful and we really enjoyed his recommendations of places in the area as well. Would definitely stay again.
Overall, I had a very good stay, and Chuck's home is exactly like it is described on Airbnb. In addition, it was very clean, and my bedroom on the lower floor was very quiet. The home, also has a nice view of the valley and is conveniently located to highway 101, Bayshore trail, and Wholefoods.
Chuck's property was exactly what we were looking for as far as location. It was equidistant from San Francisco, Muir Woods and Stinson Beach. He responded to our request within minutes and we were very lucky that he accepted because it was a last minute impromptu trip. He was so generous with his time, he gave us great recommendations on restaurants, outdoor activities, and directions to landmarks. We had such a great time. Our lodging was very comfortable and he provided us with all the amenities we needed in our room.
We had a great stay at Chuck's house. The pictures are very accurate - it's a large, very open house. He has two extremely friendly dogs, and his house is remotely located - couldn't see any neighbors. We booked the stay with Chuck at the last minute after our housing plans fell through, and he really went out of his way to help us out. Would stay again!
Chuck very kindly stayed up to greet us warmly when we arrived after midnight on a late flight. Each time we encountered each other coming and going we had very friendly interactions with him. (We also liked his dog, who greeted us when we came and went). We really appreciated that he spent a couple of hours before we left explaining places we might consider settling in California if we move there. Having visited several of those places after we left his home we have found his opinions well-informed and invaluable. Our interaction with Chuck was the best aspect of our stay. He also contacted us about a hat one of us had left at his house.
The description of his location was accurate: a very nice room and bathroom, a gorgeous house, a nice neighborhood not far from the center of the town of Mill Valley - very convenient to shopping and the road to the town square at which there is a bookstore/eatery with places to sit inside and outside and our son's favorite coffee shop. If you are considering several options Mill Valley as a town is a good place to stay. We would love to stay with Chuck again.
Chucks house is just so lovely and Chuck is Fantastic, he recommended great places to go for sightseeing and food, his house is in a nice and quite location which is very convenient to travel to down town. Can't beat it in San Fran!
Health conscious, professional, educated and athletically inclined.
Raised on the East coast and ventured to CA for Grad School. I've traveled a lot and enjoy good food, site seeing, culture and nature. I enjoy hiking, mountain biking and just being outdoors. I volunteer in the community coaching baseball and being active in my son's school.
I am a non smoker/no drugs person and want the same in a guest.
I share my home with my loving, white labrador retriever who is going on 5 but still thinks she's a puppy.
