Bonnie's home is as beautiful as the pictures set in an idyllic semi-rural area of trees and flowers, green lawns and ponds. It is very quiet and the room is lovely and very comfortable. Bonnie is graciousness itself, very welcoming and helpful. All the facilities of a normal home are available for you to use: the kitchen and its appliances, the laundry room, the garden tables etc.
She generously welcomes you into her family activities and meals (and breakfast fixings are always available) if you wish or completely melts into the background allowing you to come and go with absolutely no interaction. It is totally your choice...whichever works best for you, or anything in between.
I loved my stay there...it felt like home, and Bonnie feels like a long-lost sister. She fulfills anyone's vision of the perfect small town innkeeper. Thank you Bonnie for a wonderful month.
Bonnie was an amazing host! She made me feel right at home, went out of her way to suggest different places to visit in the area, and told me some history about Sonoma County. Bonnie has become a dear friend to me and my father during his stay, and I am so thankful to get to know her. She creates a lovely home, warm and peaceful. She is a talented artist so the home feels and looks wonderful. There is a nice desk to work from, and full access to a lovely kitchen with full cooking supplies and large refrigerator. You have everything you need and more! Wikiup is a beautiful, safe neighborhood close to the highway and easy to get around.
Staying with bonnie was an absolute pleasure! She really made me feel at home :) her house is beautiful and she goes above and beyond to make her guests feel welcome. From the chocolate and fresh fruit in my room, to my own space in the fridge and pantry. You can tell she loves hosting by the time and care she puts into making everything perfect. I would absolutely recommend her and hope I get the chance to stay again and have some more wonderful conversations!
We arrived around 11pm and Bonnie's son let us in and showed us around. He was very nice and respectful of our privacy. The room was nice and quaint and the cottage felt very comfortable. While we were there, we made friends with Bonnie's 2 cats and dog who I thought were very well behaved and just plain adorable. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone who's looking to spend some time in the Santa Rosa area.
Bonnie and her home are warm, welcoming, and quiet. She was flexible with my arrival and departure times. The room and shared bathroom are clean. Bonnie set out a bowl in the room with fruit and chocolate. If you need a place to work, the internet speed and lighting is good here.
It was a pleasure staying with Bonnie at her Wikiup house. She greeted us a with a warm smile and, after staying for a month, we departed with a warm hug.
When we (my husband and I) first arrived we were shown our room which was accurate to the listing description. To our delight, the room also came with a vase of flowers, fruit bowl and chocolates ! Special touches never go unnoticed.
While we were there, Bonnie had 2 other long stay guests along with her son and grandchild. All were very pleasant and nice to talk to.
The house has a nice patio and backyard to enjoy on nice days. Shilo Park is just down the road, and there is plenty of nice streets for walking and getting a bit of exercise.
