Welcome to "LucileHouse" - A unique, cozy, 90 year old serene retreat, nestled in the hills of Silver Lake, over looking Hollywood, with city and mountain views and a short walk to some of Silver Lake's best cafe's, restaurants and boutiques.
Spacious, quiet, charming 2 bedroom 1.5 bath, VIEW HOME and property provides all the amenities needed for a comfortable and calming stay.
PARKING: Unrestricted street parking in front of home
KITCHEN: Equipped with everything you will need to prepare, cook and serve.
Small appliances include; Microwave, toaster, juicer, blender,coffee bean grinder coffee maker and food processor.
DINING ROOM: Spacious, seats 6 and opens out to the deck with city and mountain views.
LIVING ROOM: Shares large open space with dining room, opens out to the deck and has great mountain and city views.
BEDROOMS: Both bedrooms have a queen size plush bed, higher quality hypo-allergenic bedding, dresser and mirrored wardrobe closets.
Front bedroom opens out to the courtyard , second bedroom opens out onto the large deck with city and mountain views.
BATHROOMS: There is a full bath between both bedrooms and a 1/2 bath located off the kitchen. Complimentary Shampoo, conditioner, body soap,bathroom tissue and hair dryer are provided by your hosts.
VIEW DECK: Fantastic city and mountain views facing west towards Century City and furnished with outdoor dining table, chaise lounges and a conversational seating area all tucked under a towering tree with dimmed string lighting.
LAUNDRY: Our guests are welcome to use the laundry facilities. Laundry supplies are provided.
GARDENS: Beautifully landscaped, lighting, fountains, seating throughout and meditation areas our guests are always welcome to.
At the lowest part of the garden, is the "Quiet Garden". This area is exclusively for our guests, while we share the remaining gardens.
SECURITY: The home is equipped with both alarm and security camera
AIR CONDITIONING: There are portable air conditioners in each of the bedrooms and in living room.
Guests have exclusive access to main house, large deck, front courtyard, lower "quiet garden" area and we share the remaining gardens and laundry facilities
Interaction with Guests
HOSTS: While we live on the property directly below the main house (rental) , we completely respect the privacy of our guests while making ourselves available.
We give our guests an open invite option of coming down for a drink or a film night where we project a film over the garden if time allows during their stay.
We are located on a small narrow road in the hills of Silver Lake and in one of the oldest neighborhoods on the hill. This is a safe, friendly, quiet , creative neighborhood, within walking distance to some of Silver Lake's best restaurants, cafe's, bars and boutiques as well as a framer's market held on Saturdays and Tuesdays.
We encourage a walk or run up into the hills where you will find many architecturally interesting homes. There are also stairways in the neighborhood you can access to discover more of our neighborhood.
Major public transportation bus stops are a 5 minute walk from the house and closest Metro train station is approximately a 20 minute walk or you can also hop on city bus to Metro train station.
LAX Airport is 20 miles from the home and Burbank's Bob Hope Airport -10 miles.
There is a Hertz car rental office 1 block from the home. If you need that contact number, let us know.
Other Things to Note
*The home is in the hills of Silver Lake, so if you are going to be on foot, there will be a couple steep streets back up to the house.
*There are approximately 30 wooden stairs from your deck gate down into the garden areas.
*Feel free to ask about an earlier check-in or later check out. We will accommodate if possible. If arriving before check in time, guests are welcome to drop bags off till check in time.
*Pets: We have one indoor cat "Nobu" who lives in our apartment or spends time in his outdoor garden tent. He is not allowed to roam nor has he ever lived in rental.
* There are no other workers on the property other than your hosts who maintain all aspects of the property themselves.
We are really super easy going guys who encourage our guests to have a great time while they are here.
The only things we ask is that you respect the home and our neighborhood, smoke outdoors ONLY and close all doors behind you. Please keep noise to a minimum after 11pm during the week and after 12am on weekends.
We do not allow pets at this time in rental.
