The space
We have been featured on HGTV's Beachfront Bargain Hunt! The value here is unequaled...Complimentary no-contact breakfast menu, happy hour, bikes and boxing gym. The Caribean Queen studio at Casa Amigoville is in a safe local family community near Chelem's town square. This is a self-contained studio with a private entrance, Queen bed, 3 pc private bath (shower). The kitchenette features: sink, microwave, coffee maker, mini-fridge w/freezer, toaster, and eating island. Dishware & utensils provided. Initial coffee and purified water provided. Linens, towels, hairdryer, beach towels, beach chairs, small cooler supplied.

The room is an open concept (one large room) containing a dresser, flat-screen TV, satellite tv, HDMI cable hookup, free wi-fi, and a safe in the room for your valuables. The room has plenty of natural light, A/C (extra fee), a ceiling fan, ocean breezes, and a great tropical vibe.

Our secure, private yard features a large filtered swimming pool, loungers and chairs, hammocks, and a nice shaded palapa bar area for hot summer days. Relax in a hammock and read while enjoying your favorite cocktail. Enjoy our large patios and outdoor kitchen, BBQ, and loungers – or float in the pool and you can feel the stress just melt away.

A fun, casual tropical vibe can be felt throughout the property. The Yucatan has a lot to offer & we are right in the middle of it all! Free on-street parking. Air conditioning (extra fee). Laundry (extra fee).

Our home is perfectly situated a very short walk down a sandy road to the beach and also a quick walk to the local market and shops. There are a number of great local and "ex-pats" restaurants and bars within walking distance. We are also very close to the "Town Square" and the COMBI shuttle bus stop... with access to Progreso and beyond to neighboring communities. The Capital City, Merida is a 25-30 minute drive. The neighborhood has a great local Mexican feel and is family-oriented.

We are a happily married Canadian couple and have been together for more than 30 years. We live a healthy, active lifestyle, love good food and of course enjoy travelling. We have found some great affordable places to stay using airbnb and after operating our cozy, affordable, comfortable basement suite in Kelowna BC, we decided it was time expand. Our goal was to one day open an Airbnb in the tropics and we have now done that in beautiful Chelem Beach Mexico. We opened in Chelem for (and invite you to enjoy) the laidback lifestyle, warm weather and warm people of Mexico's Gulf Coast and the incredible beaches. Not to mention the nearby historical Capital City of Merida, Mayan ruins, cenotes, pink water salt flats and flamingo habitat.
We love to meet new and old friends, are easy going, have very positive attitudes and love life. We know you will enjoy our home just as much as we do!!

We live on the property during the high season (Nov-Mar/Apr) and are here to make sure you have a great experience. We are available as much or as little as needed. We can always be reached through Airbnb.
You will have the suite to yourself... when in Chelem we occupy the lower level of the house. We can answer any questions you may have and make suggestions for restaurants and other sights in the area.
