This brand new refurbished apartment is located in one of the most historical building in Florence: the Mannelli’s family tower. Few hints from the Renaissance History: at the time of the Vasari Corridor construction (the famous elevated enclosed passageway in town), the corridor had to be built around the tower using brackets because the Family Mannelli refuse to alter it.The tower also was spared by German bombs during the II world war and its structure still remains intact nowadays. The apartment is located on the 3rd floor of the tower with no lift and has just been restored with modern details preserving its classical style given by wooden ceilings and its original iron supports used to enforce the tower structure. It has a well equip open plan kitchen integrated into the living room enabling you to have your meal while observing the people crossing the bridge. The living room has a sofa convertible in a comfortable bed for one person. The living room has a sofa convertible in a comfortable bed for one person. The bathroom has step in shower.Few steps down from the living room and your dreams come true. The bedroom which is adjacent to the Vasari corridor is large, luminous and completely soundproof allowing you to sleep peacefully in a ultra comfort king size bed. The view from the window is breathtaking tanks to its unique position (being this room placed on the top of Ponte Vecchio and not along the river as all the rest of the buildings).

My sister and I spent 5 nights here and the opportunity to stay on the ponte vecchio will be one that I will always treasure.
The view from the bedroom window was just perfect. It was a wonderful way to wake up in the morning.
After reading some reviews I'd been worried about the hot water but all our showers were wonderfully hot.
We really enjoyed ourselves.
The apartment was very nice. The location was wonderful and close to everything. Luca was very welcoming and had good tips for us when we arrived on where to go. The first night we could hear across the water a woman singing with a beautiful voice. Our second night there was some very loud and annoying music playing across the water, so we just closed the windows and turned on our own music and this was ok.
A really great apartment in a convenient part of town. The view of course is incredible. And though you're staying right in a busy part of town, the noise level is not bad at all. Kitchen was well equipped and there was a washing machine for clothes. There's an AC unit in the bedroom which worked well. Pictures are accurate. I loved the greenery outside the building! I will say, like other reviews, that the key in the front door was tricky and there was little to no hot water. Showers were not pleasant because of this.
The apartment is in a great location and was just as described. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Florence. The only problem we had was with the hot water. There was none when we arrived, but the host came over immediately to try to fix it. When he couldn't, a plumber came the next day to try. It worked for a part of the day and then we had no hot water the rest of the three days we were there. My sense is that this is a chronic problem. Apparently, the restaurant downstairs uses so much water that it affects the pressure in the apartment and the hot water heater in the apartment doesn't work when the pressure is low. So, be aware that this may be a problem that doesn't have a reasonable solution.
Location location location. Amazing authentic interior with modern facilities. Fabulous hairdryer.
We recently stayed several nights in Luca's apartment on the Ponte Vecchio in Florence and we really enjoyed it! Luca met us at the apartment when we arrived and briefly showed us around. He was nice enough to also make a few recommendations of his favorite places to eat/hang out nearby, which really ended up coming in handy.
The apartment was quite spacious, and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was also in good shape, though temperature of the water in the shower was inconsistent and hard to control. Having a washing machine in the unit was also a huge plus -- we did laundry while we were there and dried our clothes on the racks that were provided. We also appreciated the air-conditioning unit that was provided in the bedroom, especially since it was pretty hot the days we were in town.
The view from the bedroom window is unparalleled! It was amazing to look down on the Arno from our room and see rowboats floating by on the river, and the lines of people across the river waiting to get into the Uffizi. Pretty incredible! There is also a small window at foot level in the kitchen that looks down on street that runs along the Ponte Vecchio, which was an interesting way to watch the street life below. Even with the crowds on the bridge, we never heard too much noise at night and it definitely felt like a nice private space. We also loved the central location of the apartment, and we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go in downtown Florence (usually within 5 - 10 minutes). You do have to battle the crowds a little bit on the bridge to get to and from the apartment, but otherwise you really can't beat the location. It is also situated in a beautiful historic building, and the famous Vasari Corridor runs right behind where the kitchen wall is, which is pretty amazing.
On a whole we had a very good experience with the apartment and with Luca and we would definitely recommend it to anyone heading to Florence--especially for someone wanting to stay in a great central location with lots of history, an amazing view, and a great combination of amenities. Staying in Luca's apartment really helped make our visit to Florence a great one and we can't wait to come back!
We had an easy experience with organising the booking, check in and check out. The apartment is in a fantastic location actually on Ponte Vecchio itself. What an experience to stay in such a historic area. The bedroom is a good size, as was the kitchen. The bathroom is very small and the hot water is a little unreliable. It is a good place to stay for the view but we may stay somewhere quieter next time.
