The ONLY apartment to be located inside Ponte Vecchio, next to the Vasari corridor, one of the best view that you can have from your bedroom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
--------------------------- The Neighborhood ---------------------------
Located in the heart of the City centre, on the Ponte Vecchio bridge, everything is within seconds of walking distance. A supermarket is located right on the other side of the street, and the area is safe and animated with bars and restaurants. All the monuments are few steps away from the flat and the area is at the entrance of the pedestrian zone, meaning no traffic cars during your stay. A private garage is located 2 minutes walking distance if you are travelling by car and the train station reachable or by taxi or by bus in 15 minutes on foot.
This brand new refurbished apartment is located in one of the most historical building in Florence: the Mannelli’s family tower. Few hints from the Renaissance History: at the time of the Vasari Corridor construction (the famous elevated enclosed passageway in town), the corridor had to be built around the tower using brackets because the Family Mannelli refuse to alter it.The tower also was spared by German bombs during the II world war and its structure still remains intact nowadays. The apartment is located on the 3rd floor of the tower with no lift and has just been restored with modern details preserving its classical style given by wooden ceilings and its original iron supports used to enforce the tower structure. It has a well equip open plan kitchen integrated into the living room enabling you to have your meal while observing the people crossing the bridge. The living room has a sofa convertible in a comfortable bed for one person. The living room has a sofa convertible in a comfortable bed for one person. The bathroom has step in shower.Few steps down from the living room and your dreams come true. The bedroom which is adjacent to the Vasari corridor is large, luminous and completely soundproof allowing you to sleep peacefully in a ultra comfort king size bed. The view from the window is breathtaking tanks to its unique position (being this room placed on the top of Ponte Vecchio and not along the river as all the rest of the buildings).

We loved this place! You cant beat the location. The views are amazing and you are staying inside a landmark. The flat has all the necessities. The only drawback is that the bed is not very comfortable. Otherwise the place was better than expected.
A really lovely location with great views and in easy walking distance of all the sites. We had a wonderful three days. The apartment had everything one would need and was very clean and comfortable. Excellent value! We would definitely stay again.
A beautiful Florentine flat and - as has been said - impeccably placed. For a short stay, when time is precious, the ability to walk to the Uffizi or the Palazzo Pitti in under 5 minutes... Well that's luxury!
Clean and simple, the apartment is well presented.
Staying at Luca's Ponte Vecchio apartment on the 3rd floor of the Manelli Tower was fantastic. Luca, Alessandro and Clementina were very accommodating, and made us feel very welcome. The apartment has a great view up the Arno to the east. There is no view to the west, but what there is of interest is a little strange window that looks down on Ponte Vecchio, bringing up the chiachiare of the street, which I personally enjoyed. What's really special, however, is the reason there is no true window on the east side for a very cool historical reason: the Vassari corridor literally wraps around the apartment!
The kitchen is a great thing to have, and the grocery store down at the corner (Sapori di Contadini, I think) made this stretch of the trip much more affordable as well.
now for some constructive criticism: The bed was comfortable enough for me (I am a camper though), but the team might want to consider upgrading it, as it might have been through a few too many guests. Also, visiting in the winter, if you are perhaps from a more southern clime, the apartment can get pretty cold at times, and takes a while to heat up. Just be aware of this, and turn the heat up (the dial is backwards, so turn it counterclockwise). Also, if you are not use to these older style doors, they can be a trick; you need to kind of muscle them to get them to open.
