With the best view from our mountaintop tiny house retreat outside of Chattanooga, sits the Wandering Gypsy Tiny House! Designed by Emily Key, this funky cozy tiny house is built with all recycled materials. Enjoy breathtaking (hot tub) sunsets from the best views on the bluff of Lookout Mountain! Our secluded location is in close proximity to all of Chattanooga's coveted outdoor adventures! Rock City, Ruby Falls, and Cloud-land Canyon (Waterfall Hikes) are all within a 10 minute drive!

The space
The Wandering Gypsy has it all for a couple or small group getting away in Nature. We built this funky and eclectic tiny house with all recycled materials, locally sourced, and with lots of time and effort. It is a true testament to tiny living and those that want to build their own tiny house. From cool pallet stairs, to a recycled wine barrel shower, wood slab shelves, and tree bark outlining the doorframes, you will feel like a caravan gypsy cuddling in with your loved one at night!

We have a day cuddle nook that folds out to a twin sized bed in the lobby. Our loft boasts a Tuft and Needle mattress, for the best sleep you have ever experienced. You are surrounded by a nice tin roof, that makes for the best sleep in the rain.

Wake up for breakfast at the local's favorite "Pat's Place" just a short drive down the road, and ask for the "Tiny House Special!" On the same block is one of Chattanooga's best kept secrets "The Canyon Grill," a shed with 5 star dining, incredible prices, and extremely hospitable servers. They are open Wednesday through Sunday from 5-9. We have a little gas station and convenience store for your immediate needs. Otherwise, the Mountain is a very calm, quiet, and serene place for you to relax. You will feel on top of the world!

We have a VIP parking spot for each listing, and a few extra spots along a right of way in case guests have multiple vehicles. We are located right off Lookout Mountain's Scenic Highway and are literally 3 turns from downtown Chattanooga!

Guest access
The best view is of our sunset cliff with an incredible 180 degree view of Lookout Valley. As our whole retreat is designed around enjoying nature and community, we have a central fire pit, where friendships are cultivated and great memories are made. At 2,000 feet, we do sometimes have inclement weather, that is best enjoyed inside, while the outdoor activities take a rest.
