Come stay in our beautifully updated 19th century row home conveniently located in downtown Baltimore. Our home is just a ten minute walk to Camden Yards and M&T Bank stadiums, 15 minutes walk to the inner harbor and convention centers and the free circulator bus stops behind the house.
Our home is larger than the average row home and gives you plenty of space to spread out and get comfortable. Your room is on the third floor where you can lounge on the beds or set up your laptop at the table and get to work in private. While you are here the second floor bathroom with shower and soaking tub is yours to use. The living room on the first floor has cable TV with HBO and Show Time - we have on demand TV so you can have the remote! If you are a cook you will love our kitchen. We cook a lot so have all the tools you need to make a meal for yourself or for an army. The dishwasher is a big time saver as well.
Our WiFi is good enough to work well in our front yard where you can sit on the bench and enjoy the garden. There is also a more private deck in the back if you prefer a sunny spot in the middle of the city where you can be by yourself. Whatever your lifestyle, you will feel right at home.
You get the remote control - we have cable, HBO and Show Time. Feel free to use the kitchen - please clean up after yourself. Washer & Dryer including soap and dryer sheets free for you to use. You get the WiFi password for fast internet access. We have a visitor pass for exclusive on street parking (low traffic street) but if pass is unavailable we also have off street parking that we can make available to you. You will have a full set of keys and will be free to come and go as you please.
Interaction with Guests
Our home is quite large and there is plenty of room for you to find privacy and comfort if that is what you are looking for. We are friendly and outgoing and know a lot about Baltimore particularly its food, architecture, history and art. We are happy to spend the evening over a glass of wine getting to know our guests and helping them navigate the city.
We are located on the boarder between Hollins Market neighborhood and the University of Maryland. We like the fact that our neighborhood feels quiet and neighborly while being very near the on/off ramp to I-95, within walking distance of the stadiums, convention center, inner harbor, and downtown. Down the street we have CUPs coffee shop and Zella's Pizza both are fantastic local gathering spots. The B&O railroad museum is nearby, as are the former home of Edgar Allan Poe and his final resting place. Ours is a very connected and historic Baltimore neighborhood.
The Light Rail and Metro are a quick couple of bus stops from the house (we usually walk 15 - 20 min instead). You can also bus or walk to the Camden Line MARC train which can take you on a quick day trip to Washington, DC. If you want to go out to Federal Hill, Fells Point or Bolton Hill there is a free bus that can take you all around town called the Charm City Circulator which stops right behind our house so all of the city will be accessible quickly and for free!
We can discuss check in and out before you get here but prefer a check in after 2:00 PM. Please be clean and considerate of the space and our belongings. Please be considerate of quiet hours between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM. We have two cats though you may think we only have one who will greet you at the door and otherwise leave you alone... unless you find the treats for him. We are accepting of all people, as long as you follow the rules you can relax and be who you are. No smoking in the house, but no judging either - you can take it outside if that is your thing.
Initially I only selected Cassandra and Eric's listing because it was located close to my daughter's apartment, but looking back it was really one of the highlights of my visit to Baltimore. The third floor bedroom has the feel of a private studio and the second floor bathroom was conveniently located for my use alone. I used the beautiful kitchen every morning for breakfast and felt very welcomed and comfortable in the shared space. I learned so much about the local community and history of Baltimore, from both Cassandra and Eric, which I would never have discovered from a guidebook or travel site. I'd love to stay there again next time I visit Baltimore.
Their house was the best house I have ever stayed. The room and bathroom were Super-clean and Cassandra and Eric was so friendly. We asked many thing about Baltimore while I stayed there, they gave me a lot of information and made me comfortable.
And they were so good at get along with us. They said use this house like your house, and We can relax in their house. I think it was better than staying hotel for us.
We were visiting Baltimore for a convention. And we stayed with Cassendra Eric and their adorable kitties for 3 nights. They were wonderful hosts! It was a wonderful stay. Definitely highly recommend!
We went to Baltimore for a two-week stay with the intention of revisiting the city after a 20-year absence. All of our needs, including a street parking pass and the use of a clean, we'll-appointed kitchen, we're met in a friendly and informal way by Cassandra and Eric. Because of their many contacts in the neighborhood and knowledge about the city transportation system we were able to travel everywhere cheaply and do everything we had planned.
In short, we give it five stars. Thank you, Cassandra and Eric!
We stayed about one week in Cassandra and Eric's place and we really enjoyed the house, the room and our hosts. We were working and visiting a lot so we couldn't spend much time with them, but they were always so kind, helpful and welcoming. If your are looking for a nice house in a quiet neighborhood not far from the center with hospitable hosts, then that's the place !
I decided to try Airbnb for the first time - I was very happy with the experience. Eric and Cassandra were everything you could hope for as hosts: organized, gracious, helpful and hospitable. The location was convenient walking distance for me for attending the conference centre each day. I would be happy to stay here again.

My Husband and I are easy going people that love gardening, art, and travel. We are professionals that are looking to host interesting people from all over Baltimore. We are very involved in the community, and unlike most places know and like a lot of our neighbors. We are big foodie's and have been to almost all hot restaurants in the city. The farmers market is a Sunday must. We have three cats that are very calm and loving. I would say we spend a lot of time creating art and reading. When traveling we like to find a place that is like home (clean, quiet, and comfortable). The best part of traveling is meeting new people and learning about a place. What better way than staying with a local.
