Come stay in our beautifully updated 19th century row home conveniently located in downtown Baltimore. My home is just a ten minute walk to Camden Yards and M&T Bank stadiums, 15 minutes walk to the inner harbor and convention centers and the free circulator bus stops behind the house.
My home is larger than the average row home and gives you plenty of space to spread out and get comfortable. Your room is on the second floor where you can lounge on the beds or set up your laptop at the table and get to work in private. While you are here the second floor bathroom with shower and soaking tub is yours to use. The living room on the first floor has cable TV with HBO and Roku - I have on demand TV so you can have the remote! If you are a cook you will love the kitchen. I cook a lot so have all the tools you need to make a meal for yourself or for an army. The dishwasher is a big time saver as well.
Our WiFi is good enough to work well in our front yard where you can sit on the bench and enjoy the garden. There is also a more private deck in the back if you prefer a sunny spot in the middle of the city where you can be by yourself. Whatever your lifestyle, you will feel right at home.
Washer & Dryer including soap and dryer sheets free for you to use. You get the WiFi password for fast internet access. We have a visitor pass for exclusive on street parking (low traffic street) but if pass is unavailable we also have off street parking that we can make available to you. You will have a full set of keys or lock box code, and will be free to come and go as you please.
The home is quite large and there is plenty of room for you to find privacy and comfort if that is what you are looking for. I am friendly and outgoing and know a lot about Baltimore particularly its food, architecture, history and art. I am happy to spend the evening over a glass of wine getting to know guests and helping them navigate the city.
I am located on the boarder between Hollins Market neighborhood and the University of Maryland. The best part of the neighborhood, it feels quiet and neighborly while being very near the on/off ramp to I-95, within walking distance of the stadiums, convention center, inner harbor, and downtown. Down the street we have CUPs coffee shop and Zella's Pizza both are fantastic local gathering spots. The B&O railroad museum is nearby, as are the former home of Edgar Allan Poe and his final resting place. It is a very connected and historic Baltimore neighborhood.
The Light Rail and Metro are a quick couple of bus stops from the house (usually walk 15 - 20 min instead). You can also bus or walk to the Camden Line MARC train which can take you on a quick day trip to Washington, DC. If you want to go out to Federal Hill, Fells Point or Bolton Hill there is a free bus that can take you all around town called the Charm City Circulator which stops right behind our house so all of the city will be accessible quickly and for free!
You are free to the anywhere on the first floor, second floor bathroom, and third floor sitting area. The available floor is on the third floor.
Interaction with guests
I live the house too, and can help you with any issues you have during your stay.
We can discuss check in and out before you get here but prefer a check in after 2:00 PM. Please be clean and considerate of the space and our belongings. Please be considerate of quiet hours between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM. I have two cats though you may think we only have one who will greet you at the door and otherwise leave you alone... unless you find the treats for him. I am accepting of all people, as long as you follow the rules you can relax and be who you are. No smoking in the house, but no judging either - you can take it outside if that is your thing.
I am easy going person that loves gardening, art, and travel. I am very involved in the community, and unlike most places know and like a lot of our neighbors. I am a big foodie's and have been to almost all hot restaurants in the city. The farmers market is a Sunday must. I have two cats that are very calm and loving. I spend a lot of time creating art and reading, so if you are looking for a quiet space my home is the place for you.. When traveling I like to find a place that is like home (clean, quiet, and comfortable). The best part of traveling is meeting new people and learning about a place. What better way than staying with a local!
