There washing machine to wash your clothes-housed. You can use the kitchen to prepare food. From our house you can see the city with a great view of the three volcanoes, Misti, Chachani y Pichupichu.
If the room indicates "busy" we have three ads where you can book. The room size is 12 square meters.
It is possible to provide dinner for a fee of $ 3.00.
We help to stay orienting on what you need. Very near the house there are shops, restaurants, cinemas and shopping center.
Arequipa is a beautiful city with a beautiful and sunny weather most of the year, the climate is dry and mild, sunny day and cold at night, with an average temperature of 20 ° C.
There are many tourist spots in the city, and other cities as the Colca Canyon. The people are very welcoming to tourists. The property is located in the city center, a few blocks from the Plaza de Armas.
The Cottage Residential neighborhood is Cabaña María. You can walk to the main square in 20 minutes. If you want you can also go by bus or taxi. Public transport is 50 meters away from the house.
We wait for you!
We had a nice stay with Adela and Manuel. As the previous guests mentioned, they are truly lovely and welcoming people.
The house is basic but clean and has all the necessities you need; good food, comfortable beds, hot shower, washing machine. It is situated along a busy street and it is a little noisy. However, it didn't prevent us from sleeping.
You can easily walk safely downtown within 15 minutes.
They are offering dinners for a small cost and it is very much worth trying as Adela cooks very good meals. We had Lomo Saltado, Rocotto renello and corn&cheese with soup. Simply delicious!
We recommend staying with Adela and Manuel.
It was a pleasure for us to stay with Adela and Manuel! They are very kind and welcoming people, can tell you much interesting things about Arequipa and give a lot of advices. The breakfast and dinner are very delicious, don't miss it! The whole accomodation is very clean, the bed is comfortable, Wi-Fi is working all the time.
Thank you for the great time in Arequipa, we are looking forward to stay with you next time!
My stay with my host and her family exceeded my expectations.I would surly stay with them again in Arequipa, if I have the opportunity..
We stayed at Adelas's and Manuel's over X-Mas 2013. They made us feeling like family, shared Christmas Dinner with us and let us be part of their Peruvian way of the Christmas Party.
It was a great experience. Adela and Manuel are such kind and loving people, they were very patient with our poor Spanish and always made us feel home. Manuel picked us up at the bus station, waiting there for 4 hours because our bus was running late. Even there he was patient and welcomed us very warm and friendly!
They prepared us everyday with different breakfast, including eggs, fruits, fresh juice, tee, coffee, homemade jam, cheese, Cornflakes,... Yummie!
A special thanks for caring when we had health issues, also thank you to Michelle. No matter how they felt theme selves, they were supporting us with doctors, made sure everything worked out and even made my friend delicious chicken soup, the first thing he ate after 3 days suffering.
The house is a little bit outside downtown, within 20 min you can still walk to Plaza de Armas. It's also a lot of traffic outside which is a bit noisy. But if you are looking for the nicest people and a loving home in Arequipa, that's the place to stay!
Adela & Manuel very generously walked us into the city centre via the market area of Arequipa that we would have certainly got lost in without their help! They are a very friendly couple, Manuel's english is great, and their modest home is very comfortable, in fact we had the best night sleep on our travels in Peru at Adela & Manuels home! And the breakfast with fresh fruit & breadrolls was a wonderful and filling start to our next day of travel. We highly recommend staying with these lovely hosts.
Adela and Manuel are amazing hosts, have plenty of experience with foreign guests and seem genuinely interested in meeting foreigners. On the first day, they walked with us to the center from their house (approx 20 mins) and showed us where we could find the things that we were interested in visiting. Lovely afternoon with them.
Adela made delicious dinners while we were there (aji de gallina and lomo saltado) and nice breakfasts with fruit (we miss her carrot-orange marmalade).
The room is basic, but with all the comforts you need- the bed is very comfortable. The shower has hot water and there is wifi. They also have a washing machine.
Taxi drivers have a hard time finding their place (they tend to stop at a place a couple of blocks away), so it's handy to have the map printed out. Their doorbell is the top one.
If you are coming from the Netherlands and have some space for stroopwafels, they are big fans.
We really enjoyed our stay at their home. Wonderful way to get to know some lovely people from Peru.
