Interaction with Guests
We spend a lot of our time with our guests. I usually sit with them at breakfast so i can go over all there is to do here and help them with suggestions.
No smoking. Not suitable for small children. We do not use outdoor shoes in the house but we provide slippers.
Wenche is a really helpful and generous host. We stayed at her place for three nights, and we loved the stay so much! The bed is very comfortable, and the breakfast makes us feel like home.
The most amazing thing is to go over day plans with Wenche. She has incredible knowledge of Charleston area. Without her suggestions, we cannot plan it as smooth and perfect. We will definitely stay with her if we come to Charleston area again!
We had a good time in Wenches house. She is always there to help and offers some services like driving you into the city and back. She serves also breakfast for you. The rooms are as nice as already visible on the photos and the interior is very aesthetically. Wenche and here husband were very kind to us and we had some interesting conversations. As we are expecting a baby in the next months she even gave us a little present! We would recommend this stay to anybody!
We stayed with Wenche as Wyatt for 3 nights. Had a great time. Lovely people. Wenche's tips and local knowledge were very helpful and the room was great. The house is well suited to accommodate multiple guests and we enjoyed having breakfast with the other guests. Thanks Wenche!
Wenche and Wyatt were amazing. Their house is so close to downtown Charleston without the downtown price. It's cozy, comfortable, clean and well-appointed. Wenche and Wyatt were extremely generous with their time; giving my wife and I numerous recommendations of restaurants and attractions, and those we experienced were spot-on. On our last scheduled day at their house we decided to extend our stay and Wenche generously made arrangements for us to keep our room. There is so much we didn't have time to see in Charleston and when we return we'll absolutely be staying with Wenche and Wyatt.
Room (and whole house!) was beautifully decorated, clean, and welcoming, just as described. Wenche was a wonderful host, sharing local knowledge, directions, and recommendations for places to go/see/eat. The breakfast spreads were full of home-made deliciousness with lots of variety. We had some last minute travel plan adjustments and Wenche was so very accommodating. Thanks for hosting and for the engaging conversations!
This was our first time ever using Airbnb and we are so happy to have experienced it with Wench and Wyatt. They graciously welcomed us into their home which served as our serene home-base while exploring Charleston. The house itself is lovely and reminiscent of old world charm. We felt very comfortable with the setup as it is exactly as it is described and shown on the site. Wench and Wyatt are great company and we shared many wonderful conversations with them. Wench was very helpful and would provide insightful recommendations for when we should visit certain locations and what restaurants may work into our plans for the day. As detailed in the listing, Wench does provide transportation for an additional fee. We chose to take her up on the offer and can't even begin to say how thankful we are that we did. It was one less thing to worry about during our vacation and Wench was extremely accommodating. Ultimately, you can see that there is a lot of thought and consideration that goes behind the level of service they offer and it really makes a difference. We were able to have the stress free vacation we were looking for and would recommend staying with Wench and Wyatt to anyone with the same goal.
My husband and I had a wonderful time staying with Wenche! The house was absolutely beautiful, clean, and cozy! Even though we stayed in a room where the bathroom was downstairs, for two nights while no one was staying in the adjacent room, Wenche was kind enough to let us use the bathroom closer to our room! Wenche and her husband were super accommodating; breakfast was ready at the time of our choosing and it was always delicious. They were both very knowledgeable about Charleston and had great recommendations about places to visit and the best places to eat. The location was perfect for us because it was just a few minute drive from downtown Charleston, and also an easy location to be able to access Francis Marion National Forest. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at Wenche's and would most definitely recommend it to our friends and family!

About the Host, Wenche
I was born in Bergen Norway but i have been moving around since i was 17. I have lived in Denmark,Sweden,Italy,Finland,Spain and now in America. I love to travel and to meet people and see other cultures. I am an expert in cakebaking and i can make the most beautiful and incredible tasting cakes. I am also a great cook. My first mother in law was italian and i learned how to do everything from pasta to meat to fish. I love to read especially in the winter. When you stay with us you will have plenty of books to read should you want to stay in and read. For over 20 years i worked as a tourleader for italien groups in Scandinavia so i have many stories to tell. I speak Norwegian, swedis, danish, italien, english + some spanish, french and german. My husband and i have been married for 16 years now and we met in Miami. I love flowers and you will have no doubt about that once you come to stay with us. I love the 50th and 60th music but also classical and italien music. We have a liberary with a tv but we don't watch much tv. We spend most of the year outside and in the winter we sit in front of the fireplace and read or talk. I love a glas of wine with good friends too.
Amazing food, great service and a beautiful setting. Without a doubt one of the best restaurants in Charleston. Having lived in Italy for many years i can't think of a better place for Italien food.
