About this listing
One of two available rooms.Ensuite double in annexe of 16th-century palacio in centre of Soller, with garden and pool. 1-min walk to main plaza. 30 mins walk to the beach at Port Sóller, or 15 minutes by the historic tram. 3-night minimum stay in summer.
Beautiful, newly restored double room on first floor in the annexe to our main house, a palacio with a lush garden and pool in the centre of Sóller. The ensuite upstairs is also available should there be four of you. If you just book the one room, you might bump into delightful fellow airbnbers from time to time in the garden who are also staying.
Use of our garden and pool. There's good wifi. If you're staying for a week, you can use our washer and dryer. Fridge and kettle shared with other airbnb room, but not us. Also, despite the "bnb" we don't provide breakfast - but there are plenty of places on the nearby square.
Interaction with Guests
We're here in our own house, nextdoor if you require anything and we're happy to give you a crash course in what to do and where to go. Access to the room is through the vast entrance hall in the main house and then through garden.
The house is less than a minute walking to the buzzing main square, packed with bars and restaurants, and 30 seconds to the tram stop and train station. You can walk to the beach in about 40 minutes or take the tram. There are beautiful walks on the edge of town and to the surrounding villages (Deia and Fornalutx). All the shops and the supermarket within walking distance.
Stunning train to Palma (1 hour) or bus (30 mins). If you're arriving at Palma airport after 6.30pm, though, you'll miss the last bus/train. To port by tram in 15 mins. Bus to Deia 15 mins. You can happily stay here without the need to rent a car, though you might consider this option if you want to discover more of the island. Parking is free on the main road (ten-mins walk)
Other Things to Note
We have three endearing cats who often sun themselves in the garden, so if you don't like animals or are allergic, steer clear. We're a gay couple, so likewise, homophobes should look elsewhere. We're Barry and Pablo (see profile) and are lively, engaging hosts with a wealth of knowledge and books to share with you if you like.
Common sense. Don't leave the front door open. Don't make noise in the garden after midnight as we have neighbours. Make yourself at home!
We really enjoyed our stay at Barry and Pablo's house. It is in the middle of the center of the small old city Soller - just a minute to walk to the "main square" with lots of restaurants and bars.
The house is great, an old lovely renovated house with a cozy garden and a refreshing pool. The room was big and the bathroom even bigger!
Pablo (Barry was on a business trip) welcomed us and gave us excellent recommendations for going out.
Wow - what a truly wonderful and memorable week! Barry and Pablo's home is a delight. The rooms are impeccably designed and decorated, whilst the garden and pool are relaxing and welcoming. You're a stone's throw from the centre of town (the two tapas bars tucked away behind the house are most certainly worth a visit or two), and only a quick tram ride from the beach.
Our hosts could not have been more friendly or welcoming, with every little detail covered - even clean beach towels are left out for you on a daily basis.
We loved Soller, and we loved Barry and Pablo's home. Please don't stay anywhere else in Soller!
This was really an enjoyable stay with Barry and Pablo in Soller. The large bedroom and ensuite bathroom made us feel like royalties and the fantastic garden was the cherry on the cake. Our breakfasts under the kiwi tree will linger in our memories for a while as will the romantic setting of the pool. Barry and Pablo were easy to get on with and we felt welcomed into their fantastic 17th century home. The central location, right in the middle of Soller, also made it perfect for to pop out for a coffee or dinner at night. The only regrettable thing was that we only got two nights here, but the next time we will stay longer.
Sehr freundlicher Empfang durch Pablo, der uns alles gezeigt hat.
Grosszügiges Zimmer mit sehr leiser Klimaanlage, sensationelles Bad !
Die Bilder vom Innenhof sprechen für sich.
Liegt keine 100m vom Dorfzentrum. Die Strasse führt unter dem Zimmer durch, dadurch manchmal etwas Verkehrslärm. In der Nacht aber weitgehend ruhig.
Wir können die Unterkunft nur empfehlen
Thank you very much for the kind review. As Sóller is a vibrant town and our house is directly in the historic centre of town, as to be expected there are the sights and sounds of life nearby. Also we do not run a hotel: people come as paying guests to stay in our home.
We had a great time staying at Pablo's palazzo in the heart of the ood town. The house is very stylish and carefully renovated with a good eye for detail. I especially liked the garden full of plants, like an oasis with the charming pool perfect for a cool down after a walk in the city. The room is spacious, clean, quite and has a big bathroom, just as described and can be seen on the photos. Pablo welcomed us, showed us around and gave us some helpful recommendation about Soller. Definitely a top choice to stay at, if traveling to Soller.
A once-in-a-lifetime experience! The Sóller manor home with its enchanting garden and pool is magic. The bedroom with its enormous bathroom provides a tranquil resting place. Barry and Pablo are the kind of people I would gladly talk with for hours (though they are totally respectful of guests' privacy). It was a privilege to stay in this amazing home, and anyone lucky enough to get a reservation is in for a real treat.
