One of two available rooms.Ensuite double in annexe of 16th-century palacio in centre of Soller, with garden and pool. 1-min walk to main plaza. 30 mins walk to the beach at Port Sóller, or 15 minutes by the historic tram. 3-night minimum stay in summer.

The Space

Beautiful, newly restored double room on first floor in the annexe to our main house, a palacio with a lush garden and pool in the centre of Sóller. The ensuite upstairs is also available should there be four of you. If you just book the one room, you might bump into delightful fellow airbnbers from time to time in the garden who are also staying.

Guest Access

Use of our garden and pool. There's wifi, though bear in mind the old walls are thick and you might have to wander about a bit to pick up signal. If you're staying for a week, you can use our washer and dryer. Fridge and kettle shared with other airbnb room, but not us. Also, despite the "bnb" we don't provide breakfast - but there are plenty of places on the nearby square.

Interaction with Guests

We're here in our own house, nextdoor if you require anything and we're happy to give you a crash course in what to do and where to go. Access to the room is through the vast entrance hall in the main house and then through garden.

The Neighborhood

The house is less than a minute walking to the buzzing main square, packed with bars and restaurants, and 30 seconds to the tram stop and train station. You can walk to the beach in about 40 minutes or take the tram. There are beautiful walks on the edge of town and to the surrounding villages (Deia and Fornalutx). All the shops and the supermarket within walking distance.

Getting around

Stunning train to Palma (1 hour) or bus (30 mins). If you're arriving at Palma airport after 6.30pm, though, you'll miss the last bus/train. To port by tram in 15 mins. Bus to Deia 15 mins. You can happily stay here without the need to rent a car, though you might consider this option if you want to discover more of the island. Parking is free on the main road (ten-mins walk)

Other Things to Note

We have three endearing cats who often sun themselves in the garden, so if you don't like animals or are allergic, steer clear. We're a gay couple, so likewise, homophobes should look elsewhere. We're Barry and Pablo (see profile) and are lively, engaging hosts with a wealth of knowledge and books to share with you if you like.

  • Pablo and Barry are the best hosts somebody could hope for. Made me feel very welcome, showed me around town and were there with advise (and beer ;-) when I needed it. The house is fantastic, I will definitely come back.

  • Barry and Pablo's lovely home was the highlight of our trip to Majorca and Northeast Spain this summer. The ensuite room is super spacious, impeccably cleaned, and faces onto a quaint cobblestone alleyway. Right around the corner are a couple delicious tapas restaurants to while away your evenings on bottles of rosé and plates of jamon. It's also extremely convenient to the trams and buses that will take you to/from Palma, Port of Soller, and Deia.

Our hosts were exceedingly warm and helpful with suggestions and conversations. They know the area extremely well and have impeccable English, which definitely came in handy! We had a few nights just regaling our day's adventures over wine and beers with Pablo, Barry and their three friendly cats.

We'll be back, as soon as possible! Thanks for making our stay so memorable.

  • We could not ask (email hidden) to go in Soller ! This appartment is a lovely 800 year old house, beatiful arranged and convenient, more than well situated in the center of Soller.

Thank you again for sharing so much.

  • (email hidden) to be! Inspiring and with wonderful charisma in its very unique style. We had the greatest pleasure to enjoy the splendid arranged garden with pool. An everday special experience was the generous and sophisticated bathroom. We loved it.
It's the perfect place to start hiking into the Tramuntana mountains.
Only a few seconds to the tram to Port de Soller or the old tram to Palma. Or better: walk through the olive groves to the Port of Soller or to Deia (so beautiful), enjoy the beach and surrounding, coming back in the evening when most of the tourists are at home and enjoy the bars with Tapas, Frito Mallorquine and the local wines.
But in the first place I may say that Barry and Pablo and the three cats are wonderful and nice and helpful and generous hosts. Thank you so much for this brilliant stay.

  • We stayed in the begin of June for three nights and we liked it a lot. It was ' one of a kind' due to Barry and Pablo who are very helpful and gentle. They know what you need as guest and create a very cosy atmosphere. Their cats are adorable and we liked they walked by during our breakfasts in the garden. The garden is very cosy and Pablo designed this garden. In the heart of the old centre of Soller, their house feels (email hidden)e rooms and bathroom are very clean and have all comfort you will need. Their is a kitchen as well to use. Oh, Barry and Pablo have a lot of insider advice which we tried out all and we had a blast! We recommend to eat tapas close to their house! And the secret beach was like a little paradise to us. Thank you for having us and we recommend it already to other persons!!! Regards, Gawein and Eef from the Netherlands

  • There are many beautiful places in the world, but this one is particularly beautiful! The house and the guest rooms are one of kind - spacious and clean! Waking up in the morning with the mountain breeze and the smell of the lemon tree is perfect. We enjoyed our stay very much!

  • Our stay with Barry and Pablo was extremely pleasant. My friend and I had a wonderful stay and their place is just as nice, if not even nicer as displayed on the pictures. Coming from the train station it is very close and easy to find. Correspondence was very easy and prompt. We felt very comfortable at Barry's and Pablo's place and would highly recommend it to others - clean, central, welcoming - one cannot ask for more. Thanks to both of them!!! Also for any hikers: Soller is a beautiful spot and Barry will provide you with good advice, book and card material of where you can go. Wish we could have stayed longer.
