The space

Come and experience a retreat on the river just 10 minutes from Beltline Highway in the Santa Clara/River Road area in north Eugene. You will have your own space right on the Willamette River just north of where the McKenzie River joins it. The yurt is on our 30 acre organic farm and is a long way from the house, so you will have lots of privacy and quiet!

The yurt is only three years old! It has it's own space by the river and is furnished with a trundle bed which can either be its own bed, two single beds or one queen sized bed. A dining table, fully stocked kitchen cabinet and propane 2 burner stove will enable you to do your own cooking. Solar energy provides lighting and there is an inverter for charging, an Ipod player or using a laptop.

There is an outdoor bathroom/shower house (composting toilet and propane fueled hot shower) and a deck for outdoor cooking or just relaxing as you watch the river go by. The yurt can be heated in cooler weather with a propane fueled heater that is equipped with safety devices for use in the yurt.

The swimming hole on the property is easily walked to and you are free to walk our 30 acres or come lend a hand in the farm work! Bicycles and a river kayak are available for rent. Guests may also canoe/raft/kayak to the property and do some exploring of Green Island (across the river) in their spare time.

The yurt and area have been hand built by the owner. Every effort has been made to keep the area natural, organic and green. The farm is located on a flyway, so there's lots of birdlife for the watching.

Well behaved dogs on a leash are welcome for an extra $10 a day. Extra tents may be put up easily on the site for an extra charge. Please discuss with property owner.

Fresh organic smoothies, kombucha, eggs and farm produce available upon request.

This property is for people who want to relax/rejuvenate and who appreciate nature.

What a lovely spot on the river! We'd love to come back in the summer when we can spend all day outside in the sun. Appreciated that dogs were allowed. Our dog had so much fun!

Between the sound of the river, roosters and neighing horses, we felt right at home in the country! If you appreciate farm life and country living, this is the place for you!
