  • Janet's condo was great! We were in the heart of downtown Montreal about a 10 min walk from the Jazz Festival. The condo was very luxurious and comfortable. Parking was also included, which was handy when we wanted to journey farther afield.

  • Listing and host was as I expected and read from other reviews. This was my first time booking anything via AirBnB so my husband was skeptical. He loved the place! Very convenient to the metro which we took every day that we were in Montreal. Didn't use much of the underground mall area except to get Gelatos on the way back but it was air conditioned and nice.

Very quiet building. We didn't use the pool or garden though. The doormen were nice and showed up how to navigate the metro. Close to restaurants and Montreal's "Michigan Ave". No complaints and will book Janet's place again when we're back! I wish she also had a place for kids but this will do for our couple trips.

  • Janet was very easy to work with. She was extremely prompt in her responses and always replied with friendly, helpful answers. The property was perfect for us and even more than we needed. The bed was very comfortable, the kitchen fully equipped and I enjoyed coming home to such a large tv to watch and relax. The neighborhood was wonderful, just a half block from my favorite Montreal restaurant, Reuben's! And we walked to old Montreal which took us only about 15 minutes.

I couldn't have asked for a better stay!

  • We stayed at Janet's condo for four nights. It's centre town- in the middle of everything including the metro, mall, and festivals down the block on Saint Catherine. I especially recommend this condo to anyone driving while in Montreal as the parking spot is absolutely priceless. It allowed us to drive to parts of town the metro may not reach and not have to worry about parking once we returned. My only regret is not staying longer for the Montreal Jazz festival. The location and building are very safe with a 24hr doorman and cameras. This place actually felt like home to us and was VERY clean. I would definitely stay here again!

  • I'm not Scott, but as his wife of 11 days and the one who initially resisted the idea of this condo rental for our honeymoon stay in Montreal, I felt compelled to be the one to write this review. (Yes, dear, you were right, and I was wrong. Hope this isn't the beginning of a dangerous precedent.)

In any case, I'm more than happy to eat crow as this place totally exceeded our expectations, in every way. Janet was a pleasure to deal with, and the listing was exactly, if not better, than described. We can't imagine a more perfect location within city limits, and would not hesitate to stay here again. The condo itself was immaculately clean and maintained, with all the comforts of home. The doormen and front desk staff were courteous, always available, and extremely helpful. Aside from the extremely useful "places to go" tip sheet, Janet was sweet enough to also leave us a congratulatory note, bottle of wine and two glasses to help us celebrate our honeymoon! Very thoughtful.

Everything you could want is steps away...museums, major shopping outlets, restaurants, subway, etc. (Though we'd never do it, if we wanted to we could exit the condo in our pajamas, take the elevator downstairs to the mall concourse level, and get a Starbucks coffee without ever stepping foot outdoors.) Taxis are plentiful curbside, but we preferred walking and got everywhere else we needed to on foot, including the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts (which at the time was hosting the exquisite Faberge Egg collection), neighboring jazz clubs (don't miss House of Jazz) and the main bus terminal that took us to Quebec City (3 hours away) for a fantastic day trip. The Peel Street metro stop is literally under the condo building, and very easy to navigate. Because of the prime location of the condo, we were able to pack in multiple tourist stops, attractions and neighborhood walking tours into each day, which really helped us make the most of our trip to Montreal. (Across the street, the apple cobbler dessert at Reuben's Deli was so good we were lured back three times in a row, after eating dinner elsewhere!)

I am so glad we went with this option. Like I said, I was very leery of the idea at first, thinking that if the accommodations were a disaster it could really sour our entire honeymoon experience. As it turns out, I worried for nothing. In hindsight, I can't imagine having stayed anywhere else. At Janet's condo, we really felt as if we had "moved in" and become true Montreal residents (albeit only for a week), as opposed to just tourists having to scurry about our sterile hotel rooms, constantly picking up after ourselves to prep for the daily intrusion of hotel housekeeping.

Bottom line: If you need a place to stay in Montreal at a reasonable cost, stop searching. This is it. Book today!

  • This condo is definitely 5 star! Our experience was excellent from start to finish. Janet was quick to respond to any inquiries and was very helpful throughout our stay! The location is central and close to many restaurants and shopping. The condo was immaculate and exactly as pictured. Having parking and the doorman was extremely helpful during our stay. The king bed was very comfortable and the amenities such as the tassimo for our morning coffee was excellent! We would definitely return. Thanks so much!

  • This condo unit was clean, spacious, conveniently situated to restaurants, shopping and metro. It also was quiet. Concierge could not have been more friendly and helpful. Although we did not explore much of the underground, it is two elevator rides away. Hosts went out of there way to stock essentials. Very responsive to our email questions. We would definitely stay here again.

  • We had a terrific experience at Janet's condo. It is classy and elegant. It was so much nicer than staying in a hotel room. It is obvious that Janet takes a lot of pride in her condo. It is beautifully furnished, it is spacious and clean.
    We look forward to returning!!

  • Fantastic experience all round! Janet's condo is immaculate with everything you need (even 2 toilets!). The bed is very comfortable, the shower is awesome and it was a bonus to have access to Wifi and Netflix. The location is second to none, being in the heart of downtown and above a
Metro station. It is also very close to where they place the ice hockey (which we found out when Montreal won the playoffs and fans celebrated all night- just a cool atmosphere!). Janet was also great to deal with- excellent, friendly communication and nothing was a hassle for her. Would definitely stay here again when in Montreal!
