During the summer, air conditioners are installed in the windows (as in most pre-war building in NYC). If you'd like me to remove yours before your stay (so you can instead open and close the window) let me know.

Taxi from JFK* – 28 min cab /$52.00+tip
Taxi from Newark – Ha! Yeah, don’t take a cab from Newark. Unless you’re rich or Donald Trump, in which case we’ll assume you’re trolling AirBnb for real estate research. Otherwise, take Newark Airport Express Bus to Grand Central.

The place was nice and clean, conveniently close to Central Park, Guggenheim and life at Manhattan. Our host had made everything easy for us by providing lots of information and responding quickly to our messages. Everything about the place lived up to our expectations.
Unfortunately, we never met our host. Instead we met 4-6 other AirBnB travellers who came and went throughout our 3-nights stay. We don't know who they were (so we can't leave feedback for them here), and that generally went fine.
On the very last night of our stay, we had stocked up some food in the kitchen for our long early morning train back to Canada, only to find that someone had been eating out of our food (two snack bars + half a box of sushi) during the night! This very disappointing experience is obviously beyond control of our accommodating host, but unfortunately she will have to find a way to deal with this kind of behaviour when multiple travellers stay together in her absence. Sorry about that Sasha, but whoever did this should get a bad review.
Sasha was an incredible host. We were very lucky choosing her house during our vacation. She was always available not only in person but also by phone, fb, whatsapp, etc.
We really enjoyed our vacation there and we gladly recommend you to stay in Sasha's house. You wont regret it.
This was a lovely, welcoming apartment with plenty of space and freedom. Although S wasn't staying at the apartment, she kept in touch and any questions etc were answered very quickly. S provided us with a very helpful list of directions to the subway and also places to eat etc in the neighbourhood.
The apartment was nicely located for the subway so we could explore everywhere easily.
The bedroom was comfortable with a fan provided so that it didn't get too hot. All necessities were provided - even umbrellas for the night it was lashing down with rain!
Thoroughly enjoyed staying here - wish it could've been longer and would definitely go back!
Ich habe schon viele Großstädte bereist, u.a.
When we came to her place she had already sent us a message where to find the key and we got in easily. Our room was okay, the place itself was very good - spacious, with a good kitchen and restroom, and located nearby Central Park. Couldn't be better. Our stay was very pleasant and we enjoyed it very much.
