Maria and Oliver's place was so nice. Clean, quiet, and perfect for the price. We only had a short stay but the space was just like the photos. And Maria was so polite and kind to us. If we needed anything she was there for us. We were so tired when we arrived and we so enjoyed our stay. Within walking distance (a block) we ate the best pizza which made the location super awesome.
Lina waited for us even though we arrived close to 11PM. She took the time to chat with us and make sure we were comfortable and relaxed. It was nice to stay in this house... everyone was super chill and it felt like nobody was even home during the times we came back. Admittedly, we were out exploring most of the time, but after a long day, our own separate bathroom and access to the washer/dryer and the fridge as well as a quiet room towards the front of the house made it really feel private and peaceful.
Alberta is a beautiful neighborhood and we weren't far from our bike rental place (two blocks, in fact) called Everybody's Bike Rental, Pine State Biscuits, the Waffle Window, Tonalli's Donuts, Radio Room, New Seasons, and so many more awesome spots... We didn't even have to rent bikes because Lina said we could use their cruisers but my girlfriend and I were just being super picky and decided to get road bikes for the weekend.
We had our own key and everything about the stay was super laid back.
My fiancé and I booked this very last minute. I can honestly say out of all AirBnB's we have ever stayed at this was by far the nicest and the most clean. It had a very comfy bed and nice bathroom close to the room.
The cozy room in Alberta Arts District hosted by Lina was great for my one week stay in Portland.
The bedroom itself is a bit small, but it is reflected in the cost. The bathroom and kitchen however, are excellent and the fixtures are modern. I was encouraged to cook, but guests should be aware that the smoke detectors in the home are very sensitive.
But, if you're traveling like me you'll more than likely spend most of the day in the city and eat out at Portland's dining establishments. This Airbnb is well suited for such travelers, not really ideal for a romantic honeymoon.
The two resident hosts Lina and Willie are very kind and their presence was rather appreciated, even if just for a few moments.
Overall, great Airbnb.

If you are wondering about wheter or not you should host us, then let me tell you a little bit of us. We have just recently moved to Mexico, and before that, we lived in Portland,OR for about four years, I (Maria) am from Colombia, and Oliver is German-italian, born in Germany, but he has lived longer in Italy and soon longer in the USA than in Germany.
We are a fun couple, we love spending time with friends and family (when it is possible). We enjoy making new friends, getting to know people; we consider ourselves World Citizens and we highly value different cultures, foods, and lifestyles. Of course we love eating delicious food and traveling. :)
