Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • Everything was really great! There are restaurants, bars and a really good coffee shop within close walking distance. It was very clean and secure, in a central location for getting to any of the other neighborhoods, and near a bus stop.

Kim and her family were awesome - very welcoming, great communication, even getting a tech over to fix the WiFi connection when I wasn't able to connect and driving me up to explore Mississippi Ave.

The house is a great option whether you want to make friends or prefer to keep to yourself. I'd definitely stay here again next time I'm in Portland.

  • Mt. Hood@Walking Liberty Share House is a really great room. Good location. The house itself is super cute and well kept. The host was readily available. Amenities were great - fresh towels, wi-fi, laundry, even complimentary pastries from time to time. The keyless entry was really handy too. No need to worry about keys. We'd definitely stay here again if in Portland.

  • Totally served our purposes. Close to restaurants, coffee shops and on a cute street with lots of businesses. Even with the rain it was an easy walk to the convention center and was close enough to the Max and near bus stops to get around town. It was pretty cold, especially in the bathrooms because of the attempt to reduce the carbon footprint. There was ample hanging space and a dresser for our things. Everything was clean and well-kept. The wifi was really fast, too. We didn't use the kitchen or the tv room much. Super easy in and out access using the keyless entry system. Overall, for the price I would recommend it!

  • W(phone number hidden)w, what a place! Hostess Kim is the most awesome chic in Portland and everyone in the house is amazing. I had the best time there and miss it so much already (and it's only been a few days since I left) The house is super clean as everyone treats it with respect. The location is perfect for exploring the city as it's perfectly situated not far from the river and within easy access to all Portland's neighborhoods. I recommend getting around Portland on bike as its a very cycle-friendly city and it seems like you can get everywhere that way in 15 minutes. I also suggest Swift Lounge (1 minute walk away) for its mason jar cocktails (go at jolly hour) and their brunch. And Cafe Darte's for some great house roasted coffee and latte art. I defy anyone to not enjoy their time spent here.

  • We will definitely stay at the Liberty Guesthouse every visit to Portland. Our daughter lives around the corner and it's a safe and lovely neighborhood. We walked everywhere and it's only minutes to some wonderful local restaurants. We didn't rent a car and made good use of the easy access to public transportation to explore the city. Kim is very responsive and helpful. You will love the excellent accommodations and feel welcome and right at home.

  • This is the perfect place to stay in Portland! It's located right on Broadway street, surrounded by tons of great restaurants and coffee shops. It's an easy walk to the train station and then just a ~10 minute ride downtown. The house itself is very clean, nicely decorated and homey. My fiance and I shared one of the downstairs rooms and were very comfortable there! The other guests that we met were very friendly and equally impressed with the accommodations.

Kim and her family are fantastic. She and her son picked us up at the airport, even though I forgot to tell her when we booked our reservation that our flight got in just before midnight! They were very friendly and gave us a tour of the place upon arrival. I would pick the Walking Liberty over a hotel any day, we had a wonderful experience and I wish we could have stayed longer!

  • My boyfriend and I stayed at the Liberty Guest House while we traveled around Portland for a few days. It was very clean and comfortable and the location was great. We arrived a little earlier than our planned check-in time and Kim was very accomodating. If we ever travel to Portland, I would definitely make arrangements to stay here!
