The Space

Now only available from 27th June until 12th July 2014 (or can do weekly, Saturday to Saturday - or from Friday if starting on 27th June - within that time).

This stunning 3,000 sq.ft. Victorian home with high ceilings boasts fabulous bay windows looking across Dun Laoghaire pier towards Howth on the far side of Dublin Bay.

Only 5 mins walk from Dun Laoghaire DART station (frequent suburban rail), Dublin city centre is only 20 minutes train ride away. Dun Laoghaire itself has wonderful facilities to offer, not least the Pier itself, one of Dublin's favourite walking amenities. There are 2 shopping centres, a park ("The People's Park"), many bars, restaurants and Pavillion Theatre just minutes away.

The house is 5 double/twin bedrooms and 1 study (which can be used as a bedroom if needed - just let us know). It is located on a quiet cul-de-sac of terraced Victorian houses looking out towards the sea. There is a small south-west facing private secluded back garden and a lovely large front garden, however it should be noted that the front garden is opposite the house across the other side of the road.

All rooms are of a comfortable standard. The master bedroom is huge - 24ft x 15ft, with magnificent bay windows with fabulous views, a Super King Size bed( 6ft x 6.5ft bed = 183cm x 200) and a large built in wardrobe. The 2nd bedroom also has fabulous sea views and a Super King Size bed. Bedrooms 3 and 4 have Queen beds. Bedroom 5 has twin beds. We have additional single beds and any of the Super King beds can be converted in to twin rooms to suit your requirements. We also have a large wooden cot (Mamas & Papas) should it be required.

The main bathroom has Hans Grohe bathroom fittings, underfloor heating, thermostatic shower valves, wall hung toilet and sink etc. There is a second bathroom with Aqaulisa power shower. There is also a downstairs W.C.

There is satellite TV, broadband wifi (N-class wireless router covers the whole house). Gardener comes to cut front lawn every 2 weeks. Gas fired central heating. Cooker, hob, fridge (double doors), Bosch microwave, dishwasher are less than 1 yr old. Separate washing machine and Bosch dryer......and a Cross Trainer exercise machine for those who need more than a brisk walk down the pier. Baby grand piano for the musically inclined. It is a little out of tune on the lower octave and is missing a couple of ivory key tops - but shouldn't stop you enjoying it, if you play.

We have young children so should it be needed, we could have what you need in terms of cots, toys, car seats (2-5yrs).

The Neighborhood

There is no doubt that this is a highly convenient address, being situated in the heart of Dun Laoghaire with its wide range of amenities and facilities including two shopping centres, specialised shops, pubs, churches, twelve screen IMC cinema and restaurants. There are also many recreational and sporting facilities available close by including rugby, soccer, GAA and tennis clubs and four yacht clubs in Dun Laoghaire. The east pier and coastal walks are adjacent and very appealing.

Getting around

There are excellent transport links including the DART and QBC to the city centre. Having said that, there is so much on offer close by in Dun Laoghaire which you can reach on foot.

  • This property is simply stunning. 5 large bedrooms, 2 with picture window views of the pier, Dublin Bay, stretching all the way to the horizon and Howth Head. The house is in perfect condition, bright and airy and stylish, with a full kitchen and TWO lovely garden spaces.

The location, on a quiet terrace, gives the impression of being in a serene seaside village, but around the corner is the hustle and bustle (and restaurants, cafes, shopping, and bars) of Dun Laoghaire. A 5 minute walk to the Dart Station provides effortless access to Dublin City (a 15 minute train ride).

Perfect for a large family who want the best of both privacy and endless amenities.
