Jane and Frank were wonderful hosts. They made us feel right at home and provided an abundance of welcome treats! They were especially great when we had a little Maine experience -- a big snowstorm hit and brought the power down for a night (an only-once- every-five-years-or-so occurrence at their house). They made sure we were warm and taken care of, and even braved the elements the following morning to bring in coffee. We'd love to visit again.
Perfect. Everything was simply perfect. The apartment is charming and comfortable and very clean. The location was convenient and the view was wonderful (I wish we had had time to go out walking about). Jane and Frank were warm and receptive and everything was ...perfect.
Our hosts were delightful and more than helpful in making our stay extra special. The location for us was perfect because it was easy access to the highway and there were some great places to explore nearby. Also it was in a quiet area do we did not need to deal with busy traffic. The accomodations were exactly as discribed except I might say roomer. Views from the apartment were spectacular and had everything we needed for our short stay. We are definitely hoping we will be back someday. Thank you again Jane and Framk!

Jane and Frank were amazing hosts! Very down to earth, welcoming, lovely people! My boyfriend and I stayed for an extended weekend (4 days) and now look back on it knowing we will return to this area and hopefully stay with Frank and Jane again soon! The neighborhood is quiet, although there is a main road (route 24) that passes by the house (which you cannot see from the house or beautifully manicured grounds). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay along the Maine coastline, where we visited Harpswell, downtown Brunswick, Bath, Wiacasset and Georgetown -- all within 15 to 30 minute drive from the house. You won't regret one second of your time here! Thank you again to Jane and Frank for a wonderful and memorable stay :)
The rental apartment was well furnished, clean, and comfortable. There were plenty of windows to let in light and breezes and there was an air conditioner in the bedroom. The view from the kitchen and living room of one of the tidal bays was beautiful.
Frank and Jane were what made the stay memorable. They were pleasant, friendly, and helpful, and they gave us plenty of privacy.
Listing was absolutely accurate for amenities and didn't begin to describe all the nice extras (like how well stocked we were for breakfast and the way we came home to thoughtful notes on the stairs in the evenings). The drive to Portland was about 30+mins which I recalled being shorter in the listing, but we were more interested in the small towns in the area.
Our hosts were personally welcoming, very flexible about arrival and departure, left lights on and doors open for our arrival each night. When I asked about lobster rolls I found a magazine article reviewing the top spots in the area on the stairs when we returned (accompanied by my daughters stuffed toy that we lost in the driveway). The hosts are just warm, easy-going, and extremely gracious hosts and we simply could not have felt more welcome and at ease.
The Connors family was very welcoming. They provided excellent directions in advance, the apartment was clean and also very thoughtfully stocked with some food and drink items. The apartment is very spacious, and if you wanted to stay for a day or a month, it has all you need. The full kitchen was great if you don't want to eat out. We were able to use the pool which was a great way to relax at the end of the day. The flowers were in bloom and the property is beautiful. The location was perfect for exploring the area, and Jane had some great ideas of things to do. We plan to go back and would recommend this to anyone who wants to see a bit of mid-coast Maine.
"Almost retired" couple happy to share their lovely saltwater farm Cape Cod home. We are active, outgoing folks who enjoy other people and our lovely corner of Maine. We enjoy kayaking, gardening, preparing and sharing good food, and being with our adult children and grandchildren.
