*If you prefer to stay in a hotel but they were all booked, airbnb might not be the best option for you. It is our home and we live here. There is no maid service.
We cater mostly to Brown grad students, post docs and visiting professors.
Our house is on the Eastside of Providence, between the Brown campus and the football stadium.
We are really friendly and laidback and we prefer guests who are the same.

The space

Large Family Home.

This bedroom has a queen size bed and a private bath.

It is a big house, so if my calendar appears to be booked, ask me anyway. Chances are there is a room available.

Guest access

You may have a choice between 5 bedrooms. Each bedroom is rented separately and can only accommodate up to 2 people (and a pack-n-play crib. We have one). If you have more than 2 people, you should ask for more than one room.

Interaction with guests

We will interact as little or as much as you desire.

Other things to note

For an additional $10/person ($12 with wine or beer) you can also have dinner with us. We are food conscious and all produce is fresh, organic and purchased locally. Dinner is usually served at 7:30pm.
If you have any food allergies or restriction, and you let me know ahead of time, I can try to accommodate.
I am allergic to bananas.

Shari and her family were excellent hosts! We didn't have much opportunity to chat, as we were just in town for an overnight to visit our son at college, but our brief conversations were lovely. The bedroom with private bathroom (always a plus!) were comfortable and clean. We appreciated the extra blanket, and were very happy to be able to park in our hosts' driveway, as there's no overnight street parking in Providence.

Shari is a very pleasant host with a lovely house in a gorgeous neighbourhood. It was my first time using AirBnB, and staying in someone elses home felt uncomfortable for me. I will either rent a whole house next time or go back to the anonymous creature comforts of a hotel.

I had a great first Airbnb experience. Check in was easy. I joined Shari and Zachary and two other guests for a very enjoyable yummy dinner with great conversation. Bedroom was comfortable. Nice neighborhood. Had a great run in the morning through east Providence and Brown campus. Shari helped me with planning to get to logan. I was able to park car in driveway. Very friendly dog. I look forward to going back there.

Everything went great. Although I didn't have the chance to meet Shari, I met her daughter Amanda and had a good talk. The house is very clean and large. The dog Milo was very friendly. The place is very close to Brown University and Rhode Island school of Design, it was a very great experience.

I am a friendly person who loves old friends and new experiences. Always looking for something interesting to do, I can be found in the garden creating something new from found objects - wind chimes, fountains, sculpture, furniture. I love to travel and I love to be at home too. Providence is a great place to live and visit - there is always something going on!
