The Space

FREE & Unlimited PARKING! Our delightful Bed & Breakfast in an English Country Cottage lets you enjoy the best of Hollywood and then live like a local in the sanctuary of a true home.

This listing is for the ultra private and detached studio next to my 3 bedroom Bed & Breakfast Cottage. You have access to the main house, including the kitchen, dining room, living room and laundry room. The bathroom is 3 steps away and connects to the rest of the main house.
This room has a King mattress, a closet, a table, 2 chairs, lots of natural light, a fan and a TV with a DVR. You will get a key for the lock on your door. A 2nd bathroom is in the front part of the house. This is a 3-bedroom house, with 2 bathrooms that are shared just like at a regular home.

*I have several different rooms to choose from at my Bed and Breakfast. If you have a large group, you can rent out the other rooms too. You can see the other rooms at my home if you click on my photo and scroll down to my other listings.

Your pets are welcome here. We have Faith, a female German Shepherd who likes to lay around and sleep mostly. She doesn't bark and will probably just look up and wag her tail when she sees you, but won't want to take the trouble to stand up to welcome you. :) She's fits our home, very mellow and peaceful.

Guest Access

Guests have access to the Living room, full gourmet kitchen with all its gadgets, tools, pots and baking pans, and the spacious front yard. Guests can use the new Laundry and Dryer machines, washing soap and extras all provided. Guests are also welcome to enjoy the back yard for meals or sunning or relaxing in the evening.

  • It was with trepidation that my wife and I chose to stay for the first time in a bed and breakfast home instead of a hotel, and what a joyful surprise it was. Our host Helen was generous, hospitable, caring and very welcoming. It literally felt like visiting with a close family member, loving sister or aunt. We had access to the full kitchen, living room and practically the whole house. The room was clean, the bed large and comfortable, and the view from the backyard very refreshing any time of the day. It was wonderful to visit with the host and some of the other guests and discuss the meaning of life over a cup of coffee. Our stay was further enriched by the tenderness of her recently adopted but still nameless dog. Easy access to many hot spots in LA. The location is quiet in a nice neighborhood. I would recommend this place highly.

  • Helen was very sweet & accommodating.
I had a late check in, so I appreciated the time she took to give me a tour around the house.
Everyone else staying there was also very friendly. It felt like one big family. I enjoyed it very much.
I loved that it was in the Hills, do remember that you need a vehicle to stay at this location, but drive safely at night.
The place was clean, welcoming & felt like a home.
I was very happy with my stay with Helen and she was a sweetheart!
    Highly recommended.

  • LA and especially Hollywood is a special place. But staying at Helen´s house made it to something unforgettable. We had a little cottage for our own, which was clean and really nice, like the rest of the house. Helen did everything to make us feel like at home. And this also, before we arrived. She answered quickly to all our requests and questions. When we stay at her home, she gave us the very best directions to every place we wanted to go. Not the ones every navigation system would give you. These were the directions a local would take to get around. At the same time a couple other travelers stayed at her place which made it also very interesting. She has a great kittchen, everything was just perfect. The range of cereals were stunning. We even had a little basket with treats in our room. We highly recommend Helen as a host and we will stay there again, when we come back. Thank you for everything.

  • Great place with the most helpful and kind host.
The location is perfect, actually you sleep next to the stars on Hollywood hills.
It's really close to the Hollywood sign, Universal studios, Hollywood Blvd.
We were in the outside room, it was very nice - more than enough space and comfortable big bed.
All the rooms in the house were open for us. We cooked diner, had breakfast, the refrigerator was full with... everything.
Helen is always available for any question you may have.
You don't need relatives in LA if you can stay there.

My favorite food is dark chocolate-- I have to have a bite a day! I am of Indian descent; my parents immigrated to the US from Mumbai, and I was raised here in Los Angeles, and have lived here my entire life. I have enjoyed becoming a veteran host on Airbnb; I have learned so many new things from my guests that has made my life richer. My hobby is collecting "old" technology. It is amazing to me the jump we've made just in my lifetime. I have in my collection a 1950 television, an antique record player, a camera, telegraph machine and phone. I love being a tourist in my own city; exploring all the special spots that most residents take for granted and never visit. I like learning the history behind a location, finding the best restaurants, and good movies and television! When I visit a new city, it is important to me to stay in a very clean, ultra-comfortable place. I love little luxuries, the best pancakes, the nicest sheets, the most comfortable pillow, the perfect cup of tea. Things that irritate me when I travel are: getting lost, and people that ruin my day with their not friendly attitudes. Little details do matter, and I love making that difference for my guests. I have lived my entire life in Los Angeles, and have worked at several amusement parks and (email hidden), so I can give you those helpful hints you won't get elsewhere!
