Quaint, romantic, beach cottage sits back in Palm trees just across the street from the Atlantic ocean! Longing to hear the waves rolling across the shore? Come curl your toes in the sand & feel the kiss of the sun in Indialantic-by-the-Sea!
Studio cottage, two houses from the beach over A1A, furnished with a double bed comfortable for one or two.
Furnishings: books, beach towels, & furnished kitchenette with microwave, small refrigerator, & local advice are included. There is not space within for a table so you're set up dining for two al fresco! Or if you prefer, you may use the picnic table on the screened lanai for meals; it seats 4.
We've stocked your bungalow with local menus, maps, phone listings and tour pamphlets and furnished it comfortably with all amenities of home (minus a television).
The cottage has electricity for charging your electronics. We've also installed solar and timed lighting through the backyard in case you come in late from your adventures.
The front yard of the main home is large and far removed from road. Backyard is fenced and shaded with palm and fruit trees, private from road.
We can provide infant pack & play for child under 3. Discuss with us prior to booking if child is to be included; additional guest fee will apply. To be upfront; the cottage really IS a studio- it is not spacious staying as a family- while we certainly don't mind setting it up for you, we don't want unhappy customers! :)
Outdoor grill and screened lanai are yours to use for meals if you like. Lanai is attached to main house and is shared with our family.
Guests have access to back yard, tree-house, covered clothesline for beachwear, towels & please do take advantage of the outdoor shower to keep your space sand-free...
Trash will need to be taken out daily- unless you like Florida buggies- Este will show you where the rubbish bins & recycling units are.
Single, secure parking place directly in front of our main home. Lighting provided for late night returns from your adventures. Sorry, space is for only ONE vehicle per booking.
Interaction with Guests

We will give you your privacy. If needed, we are available in person, or by text message / cell phone. We live on-site, after dark, please, emergencies-only.
There is not much through traffic. Friendly neighbors, many families, fairly low-key & casual people. We are within an hour of all the tourist attractions, but, we have a less "touristy" vibe, unique to our coastal Atlantic barrier island.
Our crime rate is virtually null so you can stroll about town without fear.

Cross A1A to get to the beach- this can be busy depending on the time of day- if you are anxious we have an OVERHEAD WALKWAY just a block south.
We are within walking distance to "immediate needs" & about 5 minutes drive to points of interest . For transportation along the coastline these are available;
Public bus system- runs all the way from our street to Cocoa Beach & throughout Brevard county.
Bicycle rentals- several local places within a few miles of the cottage.
Longboarding is common.
Other Things to Note
Interested in Stand-Up-Paddle or Surfing? Talk to Este about getting instruction.
Sorry, we do not "rent out" or "loan" our personal boards without supervision. We do have one 'foamy' beginner board and 2 boogie boards for you free of charge.
The garden is accessible to guests for salads and the like based upon seasonal yields.
Safety: Fire Extinguisher within the cottage. Registered Nurse with AHA CPR/First Aide & ACLS certifications on-site. First Aid supplies are available, please request from hosts.
Check-In is after 3 pm- and before 8:30 pm. We ask that all persons included in booking arrive together...
A general recommendation; if your flight is scheduled to land after 6:00 pm please BOOK FOR THE FOLLOWING NIGHT as luggage, rental car check out, & driving time are approx. a 2-3 hour process.
The Day Before you Check In: Please text or call us with your Estimated Arrival Time. We want to be here to greet you!
Parking & additional Visitors- ONE vehicle per booking in designated space out front. Much of our street prohibits road side parking~ space can be an issue. Additional visitors are limited to a single vehicle, during DAYLIGHT hours. They are welcome in areas of guest access only. Discuss parking arrangements with Este before they arrive.
A copy of our house manual is available for you within the cottage. No one likes rules, but unfortunately, not everyone is considerate so we have had to make a few:
NO PETS- Sorry, we like animals, but not indoors.
NO SMOKING- INSIDE the cottage- ashtray provided outside on the cottage patio
NO BURNING objects- candles, incense, sparklers- yes that really happened- or anything else that "burns". This is safety hazard and will immediately terminate your stay without reimbursement- we're serious- don't try it.
LATE CANCELLATIONS- We realize things happen, this is why we have a 'flexible' policy up until 24 hours prior to check in. After that time, we will be happy to issue credit equal to the paid length of the stay. The credit may be used during any future available dates, even in multiple stays. It is Non-Transferable.
FURNITURE- All furnishings must be left in the current arrangement. Consult Este with proposed changes. This is to protect the wood flooring.
When preparing meals, please utilize the storage containers for ALL foods. No one likes to vacation with bugs... & we don't like trying to get rid of them.
Children must be under parents supervision at ALL TIMES on the property- we are not responsible for any injuries.
Cryss is a Registered Nurse; we can provide evaluation of the injury, limited first aide supplies & reference to a care center for treatment.
Alcohol- what you drink is your business- don't get rowdy and it won't be ours.
(If you like being obnoxious while intoxicated, please look for another location...we'd suggest Cocoa Beach.)
We will not hesitate to leave negative feedback- even if it means our guests reciprocate. We will go out of our way to give you a pleasant stay, but likewise, we will alert other hosts if you are disrespectful.
Please Be Nice.
The cottage is a part of our home- not a place to be treated roughly. Respect our home, we'll respect you.

The Cottage at Este and Cryss's home is very tiny, and sits in their back garden. They and their children are very quiet. The yard and surround is quite sandy, we swept at least twice daily. There is a small table with two metal chairs outside, but nowhere inside to sit, aside from the bed. In warm weather this is probably not a problem, but if it is chilly you have to eat standing or dress warmly.
The kitchette is clearly not meant to be used by people who like to cook, as some basic kitchen tools are not there, such as a cutting board, larger knives, or sautee pan. There is a two burner hot plate, no oven. The sink is tiny, you can not submerge a dinner plate. There is only one kitchen towel. The exhaust fan was so loud we could not talk over it. It was very difficult to turn off, and Este says we broke it. I did not try using it again, so I can't confirm this, but we were not rough or abusive in any way with it.
As mentioned in other posts, there is no WiFi or tv, and you have to make a mad dash across a very busy road to get to the beach. There are hangers but there is nowhere to unpack other clothing.
Este offered us beach items such as an umbrella and boogie boards, but not a beach chair. He was kind enough to offer my son the use of his own child's wet suit.
There is a parking spot for a guest's car, and Este was friendly. You can walk by sidewalk to shops or to the (very lovely) beach.
If we were only using this location to sleep and shower it would have been great, but we wanted a place we could hang out and this location was not great for that purpose. Other than lying down on the bed, there was nowhere indoors to relax.
The listing was exactly as described; we were very comfortable. Este met us as promised to give us the key and to give us information on things to do in the area. The Cottage is located on a quiet residential street. We were very pleased that the beach was just a very short walk away. We enjoyed visiting Lou's Blues - a local bar with live music each night - located a very short drive north on A1A. We had dinner in Melbourne at a very nice sushi place, Matt's Casbah, and also at Meg O'Malley's Irish restaurant. We enjoyed long walks on the beach. We also visited the Pelican Island National Wildlife Refuge located about 18 miles south on the A1A, near Sebastian Bay.
Great place, super clean, minutes to cafes and local stops as well as walking distance to a pretty much private beach.
Este was sociable and informative. The cottage was very clean, extremely cute and included a handy cubby that contained a great deal of information about local restaurants (including coupons). The bed was very comfortable. There is no TV, which was fine with us but may be an issue to others.
We are a couple with penchance for outdoor activity and simple living. We travel as minimalists and feel most "at home" in natural surroundings, but have visited Europe and Mexico as well. We have older children who we can't imagine living without; much of the time they travel with us. We're fond of bouldering, surfing, SUP, and hiking in our free time and have done it together for nearly a decade. Our family motto; above all things show love.
We are excited to meet new people & are looking forward to giving you pleasant memories and a great time in Indialantic. We love our little beach town & we know you will too!
