About this listing
Stylish two room, fully furnished apt in St Henri neighbourhood. 20 seconds from metro, 1 min to Atwater market! In New York terms, this is the "Brooklyn" of Montreal, not the upper East Side. À Paris, ce ne serait pas le 6ème, plutôt le 10ème.
Stylish and modern-yet-vintage two room, fully furnished apt in St Henri neighbourhood of Montreal. 20 seconds from metro, 1 min to Atwater market! Easy access to downtown - this pretty much is downtown - and the "747" bus from the airport stop is a 1 minute walk away. While the street the apartment is on isn't much to look at, we strongly encourage you to explore the neighbourhood!
It's up and coming, but lots of great things to do, including the canal for jogging, kayaking and biking. Groceries (if not taken directly from the producers at the Market) can be delivered for free from the grocery store, which is also 5 minutes away.
This is also the best area to be in for a foodie coming to Montreal: the world famous Joe Beef restaurant, Le Vin Papillon, Liverpool house, the Burgundy Lion, the Grumman 78, the Tuck Shop, and many others are within a 5 minute walk.
Place can easily accommodate two couples, as there are two queen sized beds. Washer/dryer unit available as well.
Keep in mind this isn't Westmount, but, in New York terms, more the "Brooklyn" of Montreal. Ce n'est pas le 6ème arrondissement, mais plutôt le 10ème (comme comparaison).
We promise you'll love it!

St-Henri is a little bit like Brooklyn (as opposed to the Upper East Side). À Paris, ce ne serait pas le 6ème arrondissement, mais plutôt le 10ème. It is a multicultural, multi-background neighbourhood that is super trendy but up and coming. Montreal's best restaurants are a block away on Notre Dame Street (Joe Beef, for instance), the Atwater Market is two blocks away, and the Canal (and its bike path!) is a 5 minute walk. We love it! What it is not, however, is "posh".
The metro (Lionel Groulx) is literally 20 seconds walk away. The 747 bus (to and from the airport) is 1 minute away. Canal (for jogging, walking to downtown) is 2 minutes away.
Other Things to Note
Guests must be mindful of their belongings. The hosts (Den, Guesty, and Airbnb) will not be responsible for forgotten, lost or stolen items.
No smoking inside the house. No partying. Generally, try and be respectful!
From Sep 1 - Nov 30, 2015 the minimum stay is 30 nights.
Le quartier est franchement défavorisé pour pas dire abandonné , et le loueur (louis-philippe) contacté au téléphone plusieurs fois par manque d'information a été courtois mais j'ai bien senti que je l'agaçais un peu avec mes questions.
We are sorry you were not satisfied with your stay. Guest satisfaction is very important to us. The listing states that the neighborhood is comparable to Brooklyn. It's an up and coming neighborhood with people of all backgrounds, is full or great restaurants, out door activities, and a creative vibe. Although it's preferred by many (as the dozens of positive reviews attest to), it is not for everyone. I'd add that the welcome guide provided beforehand is important for guests to read. I believe it would have proven beneficial during your stay, as the information you were looking for (and that we shared with you on the phone) was provided in the guide. If you are uncomfortable using internet/email it is best to advise us of that fact before arriving so we can plan accordingly for your accommodation.
Super sejour a Montreal.
Qualite/ prix 4/5.
We had a wonderful stay at Marc's place - it's in close proximity to the subway or a short cycle along the river to Downtown! (Rent bikes right outside Atwater market). The apartment comes with coffee and tea included and a fully functioning kitchen. The AC unit is available in only one of the bedrooms and a fan in the second. We enjoyed drinks at the Drunkerie - a cool bar a short walk away. We found parking right out rhe front of the aprtment and Would definetely return next time we are in Montreal!
Marc was great to deal with, responded to messages very quickly.
The apartment was in a very great part of Montreal. Just outside of downtown, but so many delicious restaurants close by!! There was a BIXI (bike share) station very close by, which we used every day. It was super clean and we loved back patio too!
The only complaint from the ladies we were travelling with was that there was no hair blowdryer and no full length mirror for them to get ready with. (I dont think not having these things are really a negative), but those two additions would make this sweet pad even sweeter!
All four of us would definitely stay here again!! Thanks Marc!
We had a lovely stay. It was a comfy and convenient place to have as a base in Montreal.
