About this listing
Just 1 block form the L train! (Morgan Ave). Stay in this sunlit private bedroom featuring a full-size bed and flat screen TV with Netflix in the real artistic/industrial part of East Williamsburg.
The bedroom features a full-size bed, 37" TV with Netflix/Hulu, dresser and clothing rack. It's drenched in morning sunlight.
The apartment is two stories (entrance on ground floor) with the kitchen, living room, toilet and separate shower on the first floor. We have a 47" Flatscreen 3D TV, WiFi, and outdoor courtyard! Our huge kitchen is window lit and very well stocked with every tool and appliance you could think of.
This is a shared apartment (three bedrooms total) with other housemates: A couple, and one male in their late 20's who are all very friendly. The apartment is pretty quiet mornings and afternoons. Most of us work nights and weekends so we'll usually be downstairs in the kitchen and/or watching tv around 11:30pm. We're not loud by any means, just giving you an idea of when everyone is home and awake. This is not a party house, but you are welcome to come home as late as you want because it is NYC after all :)
I'll be personally welcoming you with a set of keys, a tour of the apartment, and some basic info about the house/neighborhood. My work schedule is quite busy, so while I might not see you often, I'm just a phone call/text away and am happy to answer any questions you may have at any time. If I'm not able to personally check you in I will have a roommate help you, or leave keys for you with detailed instructions as I have done for many happy Airbnb guest before. Check-in always flexible!
Again, we're located just half a block from the train, and two blocks from a nice row of well-known restaurants, bars, the best coffee shops, and a 24-hour natural grocery store. This is a very artistic/industrial neighborhood filled with creative types and travelers from all over. I wouldn't live anywhere else in NY but here!
Additionally, the Jefferson stop (one train stop/5-10 min walk) has become a great nightlife area.
Bedford Ave/Williamsburg = 8 min
Union Square = 15 mins
Times Square = 28 mins
Free street parking is commonly available within a block.

Danny was a great host, although we haven't seen him a lot. The neighborhood is awesome: many nice coffee bars, restaurants (especially Roberta's) and the subway just around the corner. His housemates are also easygoing. I can 100 percent recommend this place.
Danny was a great host. He was very kind, helpful, and offered great tips on things to see in the neighborhood. His roommates were equally welcoming!
Me and my boyfriend stayed for 4days.Danny was a great hoast and everything was according to pictures and the information we got. It was really a nice stay with a neighberhood that was calm but full of good restaurants, pubs and close to Metro. We got some really good insider tips form both Danny and his room mates! Everything went nice and smooth with absolutly no problems! Would definetly recomend Danny as a hoast!
We stayed for 9 nights in Dannys place. It was perfectly located and Danny and all the roomies we're nice.
We did'nt see them a lot since we were usually up early in the morning and came late in the evening and we like keeping to ourselves.Really easy to get everywhere with the L train.
We wanted to do some serious shopping and that is why we chose airbnb to save the hotelmoney and this place was good for that. It looked rough on the outside and a cab driver warned us about the neighbourhood but it was safe. The house was a bit of a mess, the room was clean. Good for easy going people in their twenties. We might have been a little out of place since we're used to different kinds of accommodations but it was a shopping holiday after all.
It was great staying in Morgan av. The place is really safe and full of creative types. I loved it a lot. My friend lives in the Morgan area too. It's a little ways out of Manhattan but if you're getting a metro pass offering unlimited rides it's perfect. Extremely convenient with mini marts and places to eat nearby. Danny and room mates are really friendly and open to people. There's adequate privacy and a decent bed.
We did not get to meet Danny but the communication with him was excellent! He was very flexible regarding the check-in and gave me his phone number, so he was always within reach. The place itself is exactly as it is described. The room is quite big and the TV is cool if you want to stay in at night, which we barely did because there's so many cool bars and restaurants to discover in the neighborhood. We really liked the area and it was perfect for us, around the corner of the L train that takes you to Manhattan in less than 30 minutes! Also the grocery store is amazing and very conveniently located next to the subway. If you want to stay in a cool place in a young and artsy neighborhood, this is it ;)
Danny is the nicest host and the tenants in the apartment are super cool. The flat is clean, cool and with a homely feel, and the distance to the subway makes it perfect if you want to get in to Manhattan quickly. The local area is not to be dismissed. There are some great restaurants, and even tho it might look a bit rough it's safe and a great and calm place to hang when you are not in the madness of Manhattan. Also the thrift shops in the local area has some great gems if you have the time to browse! Recommended!
About the Host, Danny
I'm a low-key, easy going guy, stoked on traveling and playing music on the road.
Last winter I spent a month roaming throughout Colombia, and plan to do the same in Peru, Iceland, Portugal, Hungary, and Japan in the next year or so. I could travel for the rest of my life if I had to!
As a host, I always make sure my guests are super comfortable and well-acquainted in my apartment. Clean sheets and towels for everyone! Comfort is key, and I want you to feel right at home. I always recommend places in the neighborhood to visit, like great restaurants, coffee shops, shopping, etc, all within walking distance. Having lived all over Brooklyn in the most popular and artistic neighborhoods for the passed 6 years, I've come to know some cool spots and ideas for fun that I'd love to share!
