Terri and Don were great hosts. I am very glad that they accepted me as it was my first airbnb reservation. When I arrived, I met Don right away since he was upstairs at the balcony and said hi. Their instructions were very clear on what the outside of the place looks like so I did not get lost and there was a parking space for my rental car. When I walked in the apartment, the place was exactly like the listing with amazing Hawaiian treats such as coffee and chocolate covered macadamia nuts. Noms! The apartment is very spacious, fully furnished, equipped with kitchen items, and the utilities were working. My friend and I were able to sleep comfortably as the neighbourhood is pretty quiet at night. Even in the afternoon, I was able to nap undisturbed during one day of my stay. My friend and I weren’t able to use the hot tub because of our busy schedule to go around the island.
Their place isn't hard to find since it's right off the highway and it's close to many sites such as the DIamond Head, the Saturday morning flea market at the near community college (local gem!), and eats like Koko Head Cafe, Koa Pancakes, and Ono's Hawaiian. I definitely enjoyed my stay at this apartment and will definitely recommend this place to people I know who plans to travel to Oahu.
This place is great!! Awesome location. Quiet. Really comfortable bed. Parking space. What more could you ask for. The hosts are very
Friendly. Very positive experience!!
Terri & Don's place was amazing. Great location to Hawaii's amenities. We saw Terri once during our stay and she was polite, helpful, and made us feel extremely welcomed. We would recommend Terri and Don's place to anyone wanting to enjoy Hawaii and have a welcoming, efficient, and spacious place to stay. When we arrived we found a lovely welcome card, chocolates, and a gorgeous calendar of Hawaii to start the trip out right! Also, they provided a list of favorite restaurants and venues to explore. Five star hosts!
We had a great stay at Quiet Town Studio. The space was clean and comfortable. Air conditioning was a plus. The hot tub was a plus and usable later at night when it cooled off. The location is close yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. Easy access to H1. We never met Terri and Don but they answered all questions via email quickly. There is construction happening at the house right now. The workers are there mon-fri 8am to 4pm. They generally started right on time and ended promptly at 4. It's a non issue if you are an early riser and out of the house by 7. Just note that if you return to the house prior to 4pm, the designated parking space most likely will be taken by a construction vehicle. We parked in the owners driveway or on the side yard. Our space was always available to us after 4pm without issue. We were told that if the construction was any sort of problem, just let them know. We had no issue. Overall this space was perfect for us. We utilized the fridge and coffee maker. There is a grocery store close for essentials. There is no toaster available for morning toast as a side note. Terri and Don make some great recommendations and leave plenty of good helpful information. Koko Head Cafe is a must. We went twice. We would recommend Quiet Town Studio to anyone!
Great place! Hosts were very cool and nice, but didn't bug us, either. Place was perfect for 2 people. Bed was very comfy with nice linens. Neighborhood is awesome! Ocean two ways, Diamondhead one way, and a hill the other. If you are going to be there during the day, might want to ask if construction is still going on. Would def stay here, again! P.S. Jeff loved the chocolates!!
Very welcoming with a nice card and treats waiting for us, It was very quiet and had a homey feeling. We would stay there again when we visit again.
Terri and Don left a nice welcome for us when we arrived. It is a clean, cozy apt and was a good base for exploring Honolulu. We enjoyed meeting them and enjoyed our stay.

About the Host, Terri & Don
Terri and Don are a very active couple in their 40's. Terri competed for 19 years on the International circuit, of aerobic gymnastics, attaining Silver Medals for 2 years at the World Championships. She retired in 2012 and has since been a physical fitness trainer, Master Instructor, as well as an Active Isolated Stretching practitioner. Don was born and raised in the islands has been an active Licensed Realtor in the area for 22 years. While both work out multiple times a week, Terri teaches 8-10 classes a week, which Don often attends, they also love to go on weekly hikes and take their dogs on long walks around the neighborhood toward Waikiki.
When we travel, we like to stay in affordable, yet comfortable places, opting to spend more money on our outdoor experiences, rather than a posh hotel room. We love to get out and see what the destinations have to offer and prefer to experience the local culture, rather than stay in touristy areas and shopping malls, shopping with the locals and eating in their dining establishments and making new friends.
Travel is a very important part of our lives and we believe in treating guests, the same way we would like to be treated, when we come to visit them, with the 'Aloha Spirit'. E' Komo Mai - Our house is yours.
