The Space

Hello, welcome to my home!

Your place will be this newly remodeled and redecorated room. Very bright and quiet. It has a bed for 2 people with a closet and a small desk. All linens and pillows are new.
Your room features Wi-Fi, 2 BIP cards to use public transportation in Santiago (and take advantage of free combinations that this system offers) and a cellphone (which must credit charged) so you can be connected.
The bathroom is next to the room, is shared with Juan Pablo (my roomate), and comes with a bath.
The kitchen is also available for use, as well as all kitchen utensils and a place in the refrigerator and in the pantry so you can keep your food and cook if you want to.
The living and dining room are common areas, with cable television, which you are also welcome to enjoy.

The condo has parking space ($ 2,000 per night), gym, barbecue and, plus green areas to relax, read, or sunbathe. All this will make you feel at home.

The neighborhood is located just 10 minutes away from the airport, 20 minutes from Plaza de Armas (historic center of Santiago) and only 10 minutes from the Mall Arauco Maipú, where you can find a supermarket, cinema, food court and shops. In addition to this, the bus station to Valparaiso, Viña del Mar and the central coast is just 10 minutes away, and as if all this were not enough, there is a Metro station just across the corner allowing you to get almost anywhere in Santiago in one of Latin America's top Metro systems.

  • Gaston was an amazing host. He was so kind and went out of his way to help us so much during our stay in Santiago. The location was convenient and everything was great. I would recommend staying here to anyone. Gaston and his roommate are really wonderful people!

  • De verdad que todo estuvo excelente, Gastón y Pablo son muy cheveres, nos ayudaron en todo el tiempo que estuvimos con ellos. El metro está al cruzar la calle. Recomendados 100%

  • We had a comfortable stay at Gastón's place. He and his roommate Juan are nice and courteous fellas. They gave us total access to the house, which was great. We'd come and go at anytime, cook at the kitchen, stay on the living room, or wash clothes on their washing machine without problems.
The room itself is quite small, but cozy. The bed is good, and the heater provided is great!
The bathroom wasn't so clean, and the shower wasn't so hot, but we could deal with this.
The apartment is located right by Laguna Sur Station, subway's line 5. From there you can easily go to anywhere in Santiago.
Most of the time Gastón and Juan were at work. Compared to other BnBs, we didn't have much personal exchange. But anytime they were at home they'd be open and willing to help. I even played some guitar with Juan, he's a very good musician! :D
    Thanks again, guys.

  • We had a great stay at Gaston's apartment in Santiago! He was so helpful and the use of the metro cards, phone and maps were really appreciated. His apartment is kept very clean and tidy and the location next to the station was ideal. A superb introduction to Chile/South America, we would definitely recommend to all wishing to stay in Santiago. THANK-YOU!

  • The place is exactly what we expected and more. Gaston and Juan Pablo were really helpful and friendly. I would recommend future guest to stay at their place. =)
We were lucky to have home-made empanadas from Juan's GF when she stayed over.

    Thanks for the awesome stay.

  • Juan Pablo and Gaston were excellent hosts-- very prepared, as there is a cell phone and two metro cards waiting upon arrival, the room was clean, and so on. Although both were away when I arrived at 2am, they had arranged everything seamlessly so the guard knew where to take me, etc, despite it being at such an hour and my Spanish being rather limited at that time. Gaston was working a lot the days I was there so didn't get to know him as well. Juan Pablo was very warm, engaging, and intelligent. Overall a very good experience.

  • This place is amazing! Could not have had a better experience. Cannot beat the price or the neatness. It makes you feel like a local. And is very good for getting around on the metro. Gaston was very helpful when he was around. Let us in very early in the morning with a late arrival. Highly recommended.

  • Gastón is a great host. Despite trouble with our arrival (thanks to the airline that changed our flights) he took us in at 2am. He is very friendly and helpful, gave us tips on where to go and what to see on Santiago and made us feel welcome. His roommate, Juan Pablo, is a very friendly guy as well, we held long chats during our stay. The room is small but comfortable (the bed is really comfy). Location is great. It's not on the touristic areas but is LITERALLY just across a subway station. You can get on the city center in 20 minutes or so. Without traffic you can go to the airport in a taxi in 10 minutes. Would stay there again, definitely.
