About this listing
Full kitchen, living room, dining room, Q-bed + pull-out sofa, wifi, cable, central air, w/d. Just off Griggs Park. Easy walk to Brookline centers, lots of parks, restaurants, stores, markets, subway station, busses, library, universities, medical area.
Renovated in July 2013, our apartment is an attached, two level, one bedroom unit with a private entrance. It has a fully stocked kitchen, dinning room, living room, bedroom with walk-in closet, and a full bath. There is a queen-size bed in the bedroom and a pull-out sofa in the living room. The closet in the bedroom is large and empty with carpeting and could easily be a slumber space for young kids or perfect for a pack 'n play (our kids would be happy in there). The unit has wifi, cable TV, central air conditioning, and washer/dryer. It is fully stocked and organized for long term stays. We have designed it to be something we would like to rent when we spend a month away. We wash every item that has been available to the previous tenant: all blankets, duvet cover, towels, bathroom rugs, sheets, etc. There is no smoking allowed in the apt or on the property.
There is a keypad on the door, so you can arrive anytime you'd like after the check in time. We will send you the code when your reservation is confirmed..
Interaction with guests
Since we live next door we are often available. The easiest way to reach us is to text or call (cell phone numbers listed in welcome book). We also have plenty of neighbors, friends, and family in the area who can help.
Location, location, location.
Our apartment is located in the heart of Brookline, one mile from the Boston border. The three town centers are each a 10 minute walk: Coolidge Corner, Brookline Village, & Washington Square. It is a 5 minute walk to the subway to Boston, Cambridge, and is a 10 minute ride to Boston (Green Line for the MBTA) and on the bus route to the Medical Area.
In Brookline you will find every nationality restaurant in these centers. There are dozens of places to get sushi, Indian, Mexican, Thai, Japanese, Two Kosher Middle-Eastern, Noodle Bars, Lebanese, Italian, Sports Bars with a full menu, French Crepes, Vietnamese, Kosher and non Kosher Chinese. Upscale traditional American (The Fireplace), Spanish Tapas, two Russian restaurants, and a brand new vegetarian take-out called Clover Food Lab in Brookline Village. Almost every restaurant will deliver.
The oldest, continuously run independent movie house is in Coolidge Corner. It shows amazing films that you won’t see anywhere else and it is right across from Brookline Booksmith, a fantastic independently-owned bookstore.
There are also lots of museums, theaters and performance centers in the area, as well as, historical sites to visit. All are on one of the public transportation lines (Green line - C train):
There are many more, but these are the big ones.
•The Museum of Fine Arts
•Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum
•Boston Science Museum
•Harvard Museum of Natural History and Art Museums
•Institute of Contemporary Art

We are a family who loves to travel. We have stayed in many Aibnb-type places in the States and in Europe and we have designed our apartment to be just what we'd be happy with if we were traveling.
