The Space

Fantastic apartment in an old converted mill in a peaceful treelined setting by the river but less than a minute's walk from the town centre. The apartment is recently decorated so it's very comfortable, bright and warm.

*** Please note that I am generally very flexible with check in & check out times but if I have guests leaving and arriving on the same day, check out may have to by by noon and check in after 2pm. Drop me a line if you need to arrive earlier or leave later, generally it's not a problem ***

The bedroom is spacious with a very comfortable double bed and there is a single sofa in the box window with a lovely view. It's a really quiet room, perfect to chill out in and get a great night's sleep! The room is particularly beautiful in the evenings as the sun sets behind a nearby mountain.

While here, make yourself at home! You have full use of the apartment, including the kitchen which is well equipped, the living room which has huge comfortable sofas. There is cable TV, a large selection of DVDs, books, magazines, chess board, it's perfect for relaxing.

Bray couldn't be easier to get to from the airport, the Aircoach leaves from Dublin airport terminal 1 & 2 every hour (24 hrs a day) and the Aircoach bus stop (Superquinn Castle St) is a 2 min walk from the apartment, I am very happy to meet you there. It takes just over 1 hr 15 min by bus or 25 - 30 mins by car, the motorway M50/N11 is just over a km away so very easy to get to by car.

Bray makes a great base, there is loads to do and see in Bray such as walking the prom, the beach, great walks including the Bray Cliff Walk & Bray Head, many trails runs, beautiful scenery, live music in local bars, great restaurants & pizza places, fantastic for cycling and it's ideally located for exploring Wicklow and Dublin. The Wicklow Way is on the doorstep, it's known as the Garden of Ireland, Powerscourt Gardens (Voted by National Geographic as 3rd best Gardens on the planet) are a 10 min bus ride away.

The location is great, quiet and peaceful but everything is very close by.

Bray is a close bus / drive away from the beautiful Wicklow Mountains, Glendalough, the Sally Gap, Victoria's Way, Powerscourt, Johnny Foxes and only a 30 mins train ride into Dublin City centre along a beautiful stretch of coastline.

Bray is nestled between at the South end of beautiful Killiney Bay, the apartment is only a few mins walk to the beach.

The DART station and the seafront are around a 5 minute walk away. There are a couple of supermarkets within a couple of minutes walk away and many restaurants and bars within a 5 mins walk.

I am well-travelled and always interested in meeting people from other countries. I am also very happy to advise on travel, cultural and entertainment options.

Any questions then please feel free to drop me a line. Thanks :)

The Neighborhood

There are so many great things about Bray, it is know as the Gateway to the Garden of Ireland and is nestled between the Wicklow / Dublin mountains and the sea. There are so many great walks and hikes, there is a vibrant cultural & music scene along with great restaurants and pubs including the fantastic Harbour Bar (voted best Bar in the World off the beaten track, Lonely Planet Guide 2010) Guest frequently comment on how friendly people in Bray are.

The Mill is in a peaceful, tree lined setting by the river but ideally situated in the centre of Bray down small private road. It's only a couple of minutes walk to coffee shops, restaurants, a great super market (SuperValu) and just over 5 mins walk to the beach, the promenade, the award winning Platform Pizza, Harbour Bar and so many other great places.

The Cliff Walk is stunning and takes around two hours, there is an abundance of wildlife, flowers & fauna, including seals, a huge variety of birds and if you are lucky dolphins. The walk finishes in Greystones, lunch in the Happy Pear always goes down a treat..

The trek to the top of Bray Head is worth if for the stunning panoramic views of Dublin & Wicklow from the summit. There is a trail across the top that is great for walking or trail running, it is so peaceful and stunning.
