Excellent isolation space. Lovely shepherds hut in an area of outstanding natural beauty 2 fields from the Bluebell Railway, a restored steam railway, close to the Ashdown Forest. The hut is cosy, in a lovely private garden for your sole use. Comfy bed, french linen bedding, and wood burner. Good for couples, solo adventures and dogs. Outside cook space is complete with a barbecue as well as gas hob.

The space
The hut has mains electricity and water. A great hot shower in the ensuite bathroom plus hot water for the outside sink. There is a double gas burner outside as well as the barbecue. Plenty of logs and kindling for the wood burner and enough charcoal for one good barbecue.

Where you’ll be

Ardingly, England, United Kingdom

The hut is just off an unclassified country lane. It is not in a village. This is a quiet country area with a great deal of wild life in the surrounding woodland. It is about one hour's walk (6 minutes drive) to a pub and, if you walk, take a torch at night. Nearest shops are Sharpethorne, Lindfield and Haywards Heath. If coming by train, pick up supplies in Haywards Heath. Alternatively, have groceries delivered by a supermarket.

I work from home as a family mediator. I live here with my dog, Erin, and can usually be around to light the wood burning stove before you arrive. This is as eco as I can get it without going mad - logs from the local woodland, charcoal from a local charcoal maker and refillable supplies where possible.

During your stay

I guess that most of my guests want some peace and quiet and privacy. I am often around (although I work pat time) if guests need me.
