We can adjust our morning schedules for you, but usually have no problem with this.
Interaction with Guests
We are two busy guys who aren't around the apartment much, except for the weekends. But when we are home, we're happy to chat with guests and give orientation as needed. We also try to give guests privacy and autonomy while staying.
We do like to keep things nice and tidy which is good for you - the place is always clean and shiny. Of course we appreciate you helping us keep it that way.
When Yarick is around he can offer can offer you conversation and directions in Ukrainian, Russian, German, English and minimal Polish. If it's just me - you're stuck with English and horrible Spanish & Italian.
Just let us know if there's anything at all you need!
The South End is (in our opinion) the most beautiful neighborhood of Boston. The wobbly brick sidewalks and old-growth trees are as historic as it gets in the states. It's now a posh neighborhood with remnants of its gritty past still tucked away.
Easy access to all of Boston off the Orange Line train, and Silver Line and #1 Bus. Others as well, but those are the main ones in the area.
Also just a few blocks away is a Hubway station you can grab a shared bike from. I haven't tried it myself yet.
For an extra fee I can arrange to pick you up or drop you off at the airport, train, or bus station.
Other Things to Note
There's a nice little backyard shared between the 5 units. A nice hideaway to drink coffee in the morning or a nightcap at the end of the day. All the way down the stairs and out the back door that is past the laundry.
No shoes in the apartment, please, it helps us keep the wood floors clean.
Don't make a ruckus in the common spaces when coming and going from the apartment.
No smoking (anything) in the building.
Help yourself to the bar - and speak up if there's anything we can do to help.
I really have a good time in Boston!
The room is cozy and warm, and Mike&Yarick are very friendly people. They are easygoing, caring and gentle.
Very Nice guys thank you for happyness and advices to visit boston. We recommand that appartement
My time with Mike and Yarick was great! I landed in Boston in the middle of a snowstorm with the city pretty much shut down, but these guys took extra care to welcome me and orient me. The space was clean and warm, and they did a great job of balancing interaction with individual space (especially in 2-bedroom apartment!). The bed was comfortable and the wifi was solid. It was a great immersion into current Boston living!
The city, in general, is pretty walkable, and the South End is particularly cool to wander. Gorgeous, narrow streets, good peppering of food and watering holes (I highly recommend Wally's, anchovies and El Centro, myself...) and pretty easy access to transport.
When the airport closed and flights were cancelled, M + Y were even cool enough to connect me with a friend of theirs for another night in town.
I had a great time at this spot and would do it again!
Had a great, comfortable stay in Boston here. The room was beautiful as was the rest of the apartment. If you're a tireless walker like me, you will have no problem walking and exploring the city while staying in this apartment. Conveniently located in a great neighborhood. The hosts were very accommodating as well--Since I wanted to use my last day to explore the city, they were nice enough to let me leave my bags in the apartment and pick them up later in the day (after check out time) so I could make the most of my last day in Boston, without having to carry stuff. Very grateful and great experience overall. Would stay again.
Lovely place. Truly among the treetops, you can't beat the south end location. I'm at a little bakery/cafe named Flour that's right around the corner from the place (Yarick's recommendation)...almost worth staying with these two just to be near the cafe! The room was exactly as advertised and I absolutely would not hesitate to stay here again. Great hosts, great place!
Mike and Yarick were amazing hosts! We were late getting in to boston and they made us feel welcome. Perfect amount of friendliness/ help and giving us our own space. There place was extremely adorable and they even left us a tray of goodies for breakfast. Definitely stay here for a place within walking distance to the T and cute places to shop and eat.
Mike and Yarick were very welcoming and we were very comfortable staying in their apartment, although we rarely saw them. We will definitely stay again if we pass through Boston. Thanks Mike and Yarick!
We're Mike and Yarick!
Thanks for considering our spare room, we've been hosts for a year now and are loving the experience of sharing our home and meeting interesting travelers. Both of us has lived in Boston for several years now, and we're very happy to call the South End our home. When we aren't hosting we love to travel, and when we're home we're usually trying all the best restaurants and looking for the fun things to do in Beantown.
We're pretty busy guys but we do our best to give our guests recommendations if they need them and will always be available through the airbnb messager if anything come ups or you just want some pointers when you're out.
