About this listing
A quiet room with a queen sized bed in a comfortably furnished three bedroom apartment located on a beautiful Brooklyn brownstone block. The room has exclusive access to a big backyard and ping pong table.
**I prefer longer term guests staying for a month or more
There is full kitchen access, sheets and towels, bathroom amenities and free wifi. It is easy to find parking on the block.
Transportation is one of the strong points of this property. The apartment is located just six blocks from the A express train which is a 20 minute trip to downtown Manhattan. The apartment is walking distance to the G and S trains which offer greater access to Brooklyn and Queens.
Interaction with Guests
You will be sharing the apartment with me and one other private room rented through Airbnb. I am looking to share my apartment with people who are positive, clean, respectful, have mature communication skills, and are laid back. Guests who are interested in exploring NYC culturally will find me the most useful. I am happy to give you recommendations on music and cultural events going on throughout the city. It is important to me to live in a clean apartment. However, I am a professional musician with a full life and cleanliness can fluctuate slightly from week to week depending on the demands of my schedule. You should feel comfortable hearing a jazz quartet rehearse in my bedroom several times a week during daytime hours.

I have been happily living in Bedstuy for five years. Bedstuy is not a typical NY tourist destination. However, it is a neighborhood with a rich history, some great architecture and beautiful people. I host a weekly jazz night with my quartet at an amazing bar just blocks from the apartment. There is a yoga studio and YMCA close by in addition to basic shopping amenities. Some local food stops would include David's House of Brisket and Ali's Roti. In addition there are some trendier newer spots such as Do or Dine.
Lower manhattan is a 20 minute subway ride, Times Square is a 40 minute subway ride and Harlem is 50 minutes. If you want to stay in Brooklyn for activities you have BAM in Fort Greene which is a five minute subway ride. BAM is a venue with an amazing offering of live music, theatre and dance. There is the Barclays center as well as Prospect Park, the Brooklyn Museum and Brooklyn Botanical Gardens all within ten minutes.

In general I am a very laid back but respectful host. As long as you are courteous and clean there shouldn't be any issues.
seth was a great host, he even bought an iron for me as I needed one ;-) thanks man! everything was cool. and I liked the neighborhood
Seth was a great host. Apt was very cute with shared living room, kitchen, and bathroom. Room was clean with a good amount of space, perfect for my bf and I for just traveling. I would definitely come back in the future and recommend Seth's place!
My stay at Seth's was perfect, just what I needed after a long flight. The neighbourhood has everything you need including the best veggie wrap I've ever had! He is a great host and made me feel right at home. Super friendly and chilled back he was happy to recommend places to go :) I'd definitely stay there again.
Muchas gracias!
Seth was a great host and made me feel very welcomed. He was friendly, easygoing and always so helpful. Communication worked at all times, there were no problems what so ever. Seth had great advice for what to see and do in New York and Brooklyn, where to eat and what shows to go to. The apartment and the room were as pictured. I really enjoyed my stay and warmly recommend Seth's place!
I stayed at Seth' apartment for 2.5 months this summer and highly enjoyed my time. Seth was a very organized, welcoming and caring host and the apartment was in great shape. Seth was always open to any kind of suggestions. He was much more than just a renter of the room, but also a very open-minded person always eager to give advice for the city. Connection to Manhattan is fine, it takes approximately 20 minutes to downtown and 40-45 minutes to midtown. At the beginning, I felt a bit uneasy in the neighborhood, but it turned out to be a very safe place with a lot of families living around making it a nice to live in neighborhood.
Where do I start...
First of all, I wanna thank you Seth for your kindness and warm attitude towards me.
Secondly, I had a greeeeeeeat time staying at Seth's place and he is by far the nicest host I have had on airbnb hands down... Thanks for your hospitality.
I hope to stay at your place again in the future... Oh and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Seth's spot. He is amazing and very helpful.
