Designed for comfort and efficiency, this stylish one-of-a-kind private suite has its own bath, kitchenette and garden deck. Located on the lower level of a two-level home, the suite has its own interior entrance - no shared spaces beyond the home's entry. It's on a quiet street with free parking, shopping, restaurants, UCSF, Golden Gate Park, and Transit nearby.

The space
The suite is a compact, 250sf, thoughtfully designed and built space that makes use of every inch to provide comfort and function while maintaining a bright and airy feel. Luxurious for one, comfortable for two and cozy for adult(s) with child or tween. Extra attention was given to soundproofing to enhance privacy for both host and guests(we can't hear you). Room darkening curtains, white noise from the G-home and ear-plugs help even the most restless sleepers.

There is a microwave, mini fridge/freezer, toaster, electric kettle and pour-over coffee in the space for guests' convenience. There is no stove/oven. We provide coffee, tea and snacks. Out of respect for our non-drinking guests, we do not provide alcohol, but you are welcome to BYOB.

The queen bed is fit with organic cotton sheets, comforter and blankets so guest can customize their sleep temperature. Our medium firm mattress is comprised of 2″ of soft organic latex over medium springs with organic wool batting and cotton in its cover panel. We offer both hypoallergenic polyfill and feather pillows(three firmness' to choose from).

The compact en-suite bath features 36" shower, sink and wall mount toilet along with a blowdryer, shampoo, conditioner, soap and towels.

The living area has built-in seating area/daybed that can sleep a child or tween but is most comfortable to sit on and read or watch TV. There are board games and yoga mat in the cabinet.

In addition to the host's central heat, there is a space heater guests can control to their liking. It is silent when on. There is no AC as it is not needed here.

Free 2.4G wifi and two 5G ethernet ports get you online. 32" TV with ROKU and free Netflix streaming. There is no Cable TV. Our G-Home provides music, white noise and information on demand.

For work, there is a proper chair (on request) for working at the kitchen table.

For families, the suite is family friendly in the way most hotel rooms are: we provide a portable crib, some toys, games and books, highchair and an inflatable tub for bathing. There are however, unprotected sharp corners, doors without childproof locks, and a few steps to and from the deck so you will need to be vigilant with your active toddler while at the suite.

The closet contains a rod and hangers, ironing board and iron, folding luggage racks and two umbrellas, bathrobes, and beach towels. There are empty cabinets in the main space for additional clothing storage.

The outside deck, comfy chairs and garden are for exclusively for guests to enjoy, especially on sunny mornings. Guest may also use our charming "Zoom" shed, but know that it is not kept guest ready(you may encounter insects)

SF no longer requires masks indoors except for healthcare settings but strongly recommends masks on transit, including ride share. However, individual businesses may continue to require masks at their discretion.

Guests of every race, age, gender identity, ethnicity, sexual orientation, faith and nationality are welcome here.

Where you’ll be

San Francisco, California, United States

Lurline street is a quiet one block street situated on the edge of Grandview Park(Turtle Hill) and walking distance to Golden Gate Park, lively Irving street shops and restaurants, 16th Ave Hidden Garden Steps and UCSF(more eateries, a gym and pool and spectacular views). It is considered a safe neighborhood with very little crime except car break-ins. San Francisco is a city of hills and our home is midway up one of them.

We love the community in the inner sunset and its central location. There is a full service grocery - Andronico's - with a Peet's coffee kiosk and extensive prepared food/deli 3 blocks away.

The inner sunset is just west of the GEOGRAPHIC center of San Francisco. Most of the tourist attractions are in the northeast corner of the city - Fisherman's Wharf, Ferry Building, Union Square, North Beach, Chinatown and are all accessible by Streetcar N line (2 block walk) and F line. Golden Gate Bridge is directly north through Golden Gate Park and The Presidio via the 28 bus(5 block walk). Haight Street, The Castro or The Mission are directly east via The N line with short walks or bus rides after.

I love to run. I love my kid and my husband. I love thoughtful and inspired food, kind people, purring cats and a clean house. I don't enjoy rude people or slimy things. I travel light and without much planning. My family is happily vaccinated against Covid 19 too.
