The Space

Our quiet and beautifully appointed 2 bedroom apartment is blocks from all the action. In historic downtown, it is an easy walk to the water, the Old Market, galleries, restaurants, King St., MUSC, College of Charleston and most Spoleto venues.

One of the few LEGAL rentals in the neighborhood. Smack in the middle of historic Charleston, we are only a few blocks to the city's finest attractions. Full of stately homes, our neighborhood also boasts two parks: Colonial Lake for waling and tennis (two blocks away) and Cannon Park (only one block away).

Decorated with local art, Spoleto posters, family treasures, a few antiques and a 64-key piano!

Hardwood floors throughout, ceiling fans, washer/dryer, Euro-style bathroom, 2 queen size beds, and little extras. This space is on the second floor, up a flight of stairs, so it is not wheelchair accessible.

Completely furnished kitchen including blender, microwave, toaster, quality pots and pans, completely equipped bar, rapid wine chiller, etc.

The apartment is furnished with all expected supplies, as well as coffee and tea setup. There will be a complimentary bottle of wine awaiting you. Red or white?

We know you'd rather not pack a hairdryer. Ours is ionic, to dry faster and give you smooth and shiny locks!

Guest Access

Parking is a combination of off-street parking and on the street with a guest permit.

Fair warning: one thing that is hard to find in historic Charleston is a strong shower. Quaint as we may be, like so much of the peninsula, we have low water pressure! On the positive side, Charleston has some of the highest quality tap water in the country.

Interaction with Guests

We are happy to offer recommendations to some of our favorite spots around town, but do not expect to see much of us at all. You will have plenty of privacy!

  • From start to finish our experience could not have been better.
Gregg was an amazing host and her home met all our expectations and more. The standards of accommodation and facilities were exceptional for a private rental.
We stayed for 1 week and her home met all our needs and we have exacting needs where comfort is concerned. Her very thoughtful touches were welcome and appreciated.
The free wifi enabled us to research daily what we wanted to do as well as plan eating out at restaurants that were hits with locals serving traditional southern cooking. The TV allowed us a little respite and helped us stay abreast with Wimbledon and the World Cup which when travelling with sport fanatics was very important.
The location was perfect -it was within walking distance to everywhere we needed to visit in downtown Charleston. It is situated in a beautiful area of Charleston which made walking around a continuous journey of discovery and wonderment.
Would highly recommend anyone thinking of staying in Charleston to consider renting this property and would definetly rent again should we find ourselves visiting the beautiful city of Charleston again.
Once again thanks Gregg for everything.

  • Beautiful home. I stayed here with my wife and her parents and we were more than comfortable. Everything was perfectly set up - soap, shampoo, conditioner, towels (even beach towels!) snacks and drinks in the fridge. Couldn't really ask for anything more. Gregg was fantastic and very accommodating as we arrived earlier than expected. Would highly recommend a stay here.

  • Gregg's home is beautiful and a prime location right in the center of the historic district. She was super flexible in allowing us late check-out due to our flight time and offered some fantastic tips on what to see around town. I'd recommend her place for anyone visiting this charming City.

  • Gregg's (And George's) listing is perfect for anyone visiting Charleston. Everything worth doing, seeing or eating is within walking distance, and the accommodations are superb. The beds were comfortable, the living room was cozy and there were even some snacks and beverages left in the fridge. As nice as they are, the pictures don't do it justice. I hope to return to Charleston soon, and I hope this listing is available when I do.

  • The apartment is absolutely perfect in regards to accommodations, location and character. We loved the coziness of the space and the walkability of everything in town. Gregg was in constant communication with us to ensure our stay was exactly what we expected. She exceeded our expectations even dropping off extra beach towels for our use! The apartment provided a perfect introduction to Charleston for my MN friends complete with southern hospitality and charm. I highly recommend this listing to anyone visiting the Charleston area.

  • Excellent stay at "Inviting and Convenient!" Perfect location! We walked everywhere and it was only 3 blocks from my daughter's dorm at C of C! The apartment was fully equipped with everything, especially in the kitchen, which is one of the reasons we opted for this place over a hotel. The beds were extremely comfortable and the off-street parking ( on the weekend) was a plus! (We were also provided with parking passes for the weekdays). It didn't lack for anything, so we felt right at home. Great wi-fi service, as well as cable TV. Washer/dryer was a nice thing to have, as well, as were the paper products that were provided. We loved the decorations, especially the Spoleto posters! Gregg was friendly and accommodating and it is very evident how much thought and love she has put into this place, and the complimentary bottle of wine was such a nice gift!! We would highly recommend this to anyone who visits Charleston!!

  • Gregg and George went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Loved having a few handy items in the fridge and pantry. We've been to Charleston several times but staying in an apartment and a real neighborhood gave us such a different experience. Thanks for a great visit!

  • We had an awesome "girls weekend" and hope to make it an annual trip. The accommodations were lovely and just as depicted in the ad. Gregg was very gracious and helpful; stopped by to introduce herself and left some nice goodies in the refrigerator. Beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well-equipped. Highly recommend Gregg and George's place for a few days or a few weeks.
