Description

The space

Experience the charm and comfort of a fully renovated Cape built in 1793. Five miles from Dartmouth College and Hanover N.H. in the beautiful Connecticut River Valley.

There is no end to the wonderful things to do in this area including The Hopkins Center for the Arts, Hood Museum, hiking, biking, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, and Farmer's markets featuring fresh local foods. We are only miles away from Vermont and the historic town of Woodstock, The Billings Museum, Quechee Gorge, Simon Pearce Glass Blowers and Resturant , world famous King Arthur Flour, and the Montshire Museum, one of the ten best science museums in the country.
I have lived here since 1981 and know the area well enough to be able to help plan a wonderful stay. Also have my own Gourmet Food Business for the past 30 years.
Sept. and Oct. known as fall foliage is the most popular time to visit our area. Winter and Summer are equally enjoyable and offer their own activities.
I look forward to sharing my special place with you.

Large sitting room w/far infared sauna (dry sauna)
All on second floor, very private.

Bedroom, Sitting room, Private Bathroom

I would be happy to share all I know about the area and help plan where to go and where to eat.

We loved Phyllis's place! The setting is really really beautiful, the accommodations were perfect and Phyllis is a wonderful host. Also, the sauna was a wonderful bonus! We would definitely come back. Thank you Phyllis for our lovely long weekend stay.

Phyllis was a great host - incredibly warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable about all that's going on in the area. We had the whole second floor, so it really felt like a private apartment. Would definitely recommend!

This was my first stay at an Airbnb property, and I was very pleased. Phyllis was a very welcoming host, and the accommodations were very nice and comfortable. As prior reviewers noted, guests have essentially the entire 2d floor of the house to themselves. The bedroom is large and nicely furnished, and a hallway outside the bedroom leads to a separate sitting room that includes a large desk overlooking the yard. A full bath is also off the hallway. Guests have use of their own entrance to the house, which adds to the sense of privacy. All in all, this was a great value, particularly given the inflated hotel prices in the area during this Dartmouth alumni reunion period.

Hi Jon, Thank you for the excellent review. It was a pleasure to meet you and have you stay here during your alumni weekend. The music on the Green Sat. night was amazing. Best Regards, Phyllis

This was a great first experience with Airbnb. Everything went very smoothly. Phyllis made me feel welcome and was solicitous without being overbearing. My room was very spacious and comfortable. I enjoyed the rural setting. Seeing deer at the end of the road was a great start to the day. This was a very positive experience.

Hi Joanne, I knew that you focus on Sun. a.m. was to get to the graduation so no problem about a note. I was glad that the weather cleared up a little for graduation. Phyllis
