Description

The Space

Professionally decorated and freshly renovated! Cool, fun, modern, with eclectic furnishings and original art works. Large living room with a fireplace, large view window and french doors out to deck, cabana, yard and beach.

Master bedroom has a two piece ensuite, new Queen bed, ocean view and direct access to cabana and hot tub!

The second bedroom has a new queen bed, and a full bath room directly across the hall.

A very cute separate bunk house is a few steps away with a queen size bed, TV and is joined to the house by a deck.

Wifi, TV, two bikes (please use helmets!) and assorted beach toys all ready for your adventures. A carport and ample parking is available on a quiet safe street.

It's the perfect location, just 20 mins from the ferry.

Our location offers the best of both worlds. Close to all neighbouring towns, a short walk to shopping, restaurants, galleries, and all the best amenities the Sunshine Coast has to offer as well as being in a quiet neighbourhood with a private beach!

You will enjoy the privacy of the whole property just to yourself.

The area offers peace and quiet yet is very friendly. Long time local residents are out on the many trails or fishing 'n' crabbing.

We even have the world famous Stalashen eagles nest directly right across the street from the front door!

We are walking distance to the bus stop (right to the ferry), shopping restaurants, beaches, and entertainment. The Malaspina coach stops at the local bus stop and can take you all the way to downtown Vancouver or the airport (YVR).

Relax and enjoy soaking in the six person hot tub while watching the amazing sunsets and listening to the ocean lapping on your shore.

Between sips of wine keep an eye out for passing orcas, dolphins, seals, and cruise ships.

Other Things to Note

There are at least three or four ways to get here:

FERRY: Most people arrive on the Sunshine Coast by BC Ferries. See their website for schedules, departure and arrival times, and any current possible delays or timing. The ferry leaves Horseshoe Bay, and is a 40 minute gift to the modern family. It starts your decompression. Stand on the bow of the ship, let the wind blow through your hair, and just recognize that you are going to a new world of relaxation, slower pace and fewer hassles. If you are hungry, the food is actually pretty good, given the usual expected standard of ferry food one finds worldwide. If you are travelling during the busier summer time, or on weekends, you might be well advised to spend a few dollars to secure a reservation online on a particular ferry so you don't have to wait any longer than necessary.

PUBLIC TRANSIT: You can get here by public transit, although it is less convenient than travelling by car. Get on the ferry at Horseshoe Bay as a "walk-on" for a modest charge, catch the bus that meets the ferry upon arrival, and get off a couple blocks from the beach house. The Malaspina bus service runs daily, and can pick up at Vancouver Airport (YVR), or downtown Vancouver and drop you off at the bus stop by the beach house, and take you back. There is a limited schedule, so please see their website for schedules. For local bus service schedules, see the B.C. Transit website.

FLOAT PLANE: If you are in a hurry to relax, or want to treat your group to a really special experience, arrive by float plane in Sechelt, and secure a taxi ride the 10 minutes to the beach house. If you are staying a few days at the beach house, but want to go into the big city of Vancouver for a day, take the float plane in to the heart of the city, landing near Canada Place in downtown Vancouver. The service also flies to and from Vancouver Airport (YVR) or across the Georgia Strait to Nanaimo. Indirect float plane service connects on to Whistler and Victoria. The views are exceptional and it is one of the best ways to see the coast, and have a really memorable experience. Check out the Harbour Air website as one of the larger providers.

BOAT: You likely already know how to get here! Nearest port less than 1 km away.

When you arrive, relax and enjoy soaking in the six person hot tub while watching the amazing sunsets and listening to the ocean lapping on your shore. Between sips of wine keep an eye out for passing orcas, dolphins, the occasional whale, seals and cruise ships.
