Our waterfront apartment has majestic views of Alice Bay. Our private beach is a dynamic tidal flat with the water moving in & out twice daily - always changing. It is central to excellent Skagit Valley birding, scenery, tulips and out door adventure. Private cove for nature lovers; close to hip, historic Edison, restaurants, art galleries; central to Bellingham & Anacortes (30 min), Seattle & Vancouver, BC (90 min each), beautiful walks from your front door. You'll want to come back!

Fully equipped private apartment with independent entry, yet access to host if needed. King size bed with waterfront views from bedroom & living room. Covered, protected, and private outdoor patio overlooking Alice Bay. Gas fireplace in living room.

Other things to note
Samish Island is very rural, yet active community. There are two coffee roasters on the island (Ann Stapleton & Samish Island Coffees), Blau Oyster, and Skagit Maid Cremery for artisan cheeses and ice cream. Edison is less than 5 miles away for bakery and restaurant. There is a small grocery store, W-D Foods, 9 miles away with necessities. Burlington is the closest community for full services (full grocery, gas, etc).

Howard has spent COVID upgrading our gardens for habitat. His gardens focus on native plants and plantings for pollinators: butterflies, bees, and birds. He loves to show you around and share what he’s learned. We are avid international birdwatchers. We have traveled the world looking for rare & endangered bird species. We live in one of the most beautiful places on earth and would like to share our home & our experiences with you. :0)
