Interaction with Guests
I like to help my guests get to know Oslo, yet I leave them alone if they wish.
Despite its central location, the neighbourhood is quiet with green areas on all sides. In this part of Oslo there are still typical small Norwegian wooden or brick buildings.
- 12 minutes walk to Karl Johan (The Parliament, shopping, The Royal Palace)
- 5 minutes walk to "Mathallen" and Grünerløkka
- 3 minutes walking to bus stop with frequent departures to Oslo Central Station (takes 7 minutes), and to Maridalsvannet (the source of Akerselva, the river that runs in the valley)
I like it when my guests that are quiet and considerate.
My stay at Henrik's place was great. The apartment is great and it is located closed to the city center. The bedroom is outstanding. Everything is very clean and was ready for my arrival. The bus stop is 1 min away. Henrik is a great host, and very interesting to talk to. If you stay at his place make sure to stop by mathallen which is 2 mins away from the apartment and you will find amazing food and cafes. I highly recommend his listing and would definitely stay again there.
Henrik was a great host. We wound up eating breakfast together and talked about several mutual interests in life. He was more than accommodating. His place is quite large and we had run of the lower level and joined him on the upper level with the kitchen. The views were beautiful out most of the windows. Our experience was more than we could have asked for. Very clean, modern and inviting. It is located right across the street from a good grocery store and the bus stop. The river walk is just across from there.
We loved this appartament, in a quiet place with a fantastic view, 10 minutes from the centre... not only, Henrik is a wonderful host and he share his knowledge with his guests: it's a pleasure talking with him and taste his cuisin. If you want to going to Oslo, this will be your AirB&B. Absolutely reccomended!!
Henriks apartment is in a in a quiet spot in a very central location: only 10 minutes walking to Karl Johans gate, 5 minutes walking to Grünerløkka. The guest rooms are spacious, clean, tidy and nicely renovated. Recommended!
Staying with Henrik was for me and my friends very first airbnb experience, and I am so glad it was at this place! We were announced on very last moment to come, and Henrik provided us with all neccessary information prior to arrival! We had a very comfortable sleep and bath all you can need, and even we had a nice Sunday breakfest together. In the middle of autumn you have actually a feeling of being inside the bird's nest there:) surrounded with very sharming garden and little houses calm neighbourhood. It was just perfect xample of what I imagine when going on airbnb trip - you have a wonderful typical plac for the region and you get to know locals at the same time. Thank you!!
Lovely spacious private rooms, in an airy renovated apartment ideally located near the sights and going out areas.
Henrik is a true gent, avid traveller, source of Nordic wisdom and great host. He'll give you tips and cook you breakfast if you want, or he'll leave you to be.
The Bird's Nest is a comfortable, sunny apartment with contemporary design and architecture of high quality and good taste.
It has great views over a quaint neighborhood close to the city center and easy to get to. Henrik is worldly, engaging and incredibly accommodating…
offering directions & suggestions , even homemade norgwegien meals and fresh baked morning bread. He anticipates your every need while not at all imposing.
Extraordinary stay. One of our most memorable experiences in Oslo ...Thank you Henrik!
About the Host, Henrik
I have lived in this quiet part of the very centre of Oslo for 15 years. I am an independent project manager.
My passions are people, history, art, languages and travelling. I spend time in my garden just outside the apartment. (You may of course use it too).
I speak Norwegian, English, Italian and German. With a patient listener I sometimes manage to make myself understood in French.
Please tell me a bit about yourself :-)
