Central two room apartment, comfortably fits three people. Fully furnished with a nice kitchen with everything you need; fridge, dishwasher etc. Groceries, cafe's, public transportation, a bakery, restaurants, bike rental, everything is close by.
You are renting a full apartment with everything included. I live there myself and rent it out whenever I am gone for some time. Therefore everything will be there for sleeping and living.
The apartment has a nice living room with underfloor heating, an electric piano (not available right now), a high class stereo and a 32" TV that can be used for watching movies etc. No cable TV.
The bedroom has a good king size double bed.
The kitchen has everything that would be expected in a kitchen where somebody lives; a big fridge w/freezer, a dishwasher, a gas stove and of cause normal kitchen equipment.
The bathroom is quite small, but what of it; are you going to use your whole stay on showering?
Since I normally live in the apartment myself the shelf space is somewhat used. You are free to use any free space.
Everything you find in the fridge you can use as you please, same thing with the spices and any other food.
Interaction with Guests
This is not an actual bed and breakfast with breakfast served every morning. You'll have to go shop yourself, but hey, that means that you will get it exactly as you want it.
The apartment is placed in the neighborhood of Copenhagen called Nørrebro (literally north bridge), close to the center of the neighborhood.
Within a two minutes walk you will find three grocery stores with opening hours from 7 in the morning to 12 in the night, at least three bars, the coin laundry, cafes, flower shops, a hairdresser, bakery, kebab place, Moroccan restaurant, pizza place, butcher and a fish store.
Four minutes walk from the apartment is a bike rental, where you can rent a bike for a day for EU8/DKK60.
Something about the neighborhood
Over the last couple of decades Nørrebro has evolved from being a working class area into one of the city's hottest quarters. If you want to shop for clothes, exotic food, bric-a-brac or antiques – the multicultural Nørrebro is the place to be.
Vibrant, colourful, casual and young at heart. Nørrebro is a lively area of Copenhagen. You will find trendy bars and fashionable designer shops next door to dodgy dive bars and cheap kebab places. If you are into small design shops, head for Elmegade or Jægersborggade, and if you like antiques Ravnsborggade is the place to go. At Sankt Hans Torv and the streets around it you have several choices for dinner and drinks. In the nearby Cemetery (Assistens Kirkegård) you will find the graves of people like the great danish poet H. C. Andersen and H. C. Ørsted, the great danish scientist, who discovered electromagnetism. The Cemetery is 10 minutes walk from the apartment.
Public transportation is literally a 3 minutes walk from the apartment. From there, the central station (Københavns Hovedbanegård) is 21 minutes away with the 6A bus. The city Copenhagen center (Nørreport) is 11 minutes away with the same bus. The bus leaves every seven minutes.
Where ever you want to go, look up your journey at the website "rejseplanen" which you will easily find online.
If you are traveling by car, you'll find free parking space just outside the apartment.
Other Things to Note
If you are three guests, the third person can choose between a fold out mattress and the fold out sleeping couch. Towels and bedsheets will be provided for all guests.
The apartment is a non-smoking no pets allowed place. Of cause I expect everything to be as it was when I left, when I come back to the apartment. Anything found missing or broken will be covered by the security deposit. So will the cleaning, if the apartment is left dirty. I have pictures of everything so that no doubt can exist from either side.
Прекрасная квартира за свои деньги, правда, без велосипеда далековато от центра, но все, что нужно, рядом есть.
Hans was awesome in all regards, he came by right after we texted him (on Sunday morning!) for a problem with the heating and solved it quickly.
The apartment is nice, spacious and cozy, and the area of the city is cool, even if it's not in walking-distance to the center. There are shops nearby and buses around the corner.
The only flaw was the bathroom, maybe a bit small considering the size of the apartment.
Anyways, I'd definitely recommend Hans' place to anyone else for a quick visit of CPH
The apartment was as described, the furniture is arranged a little differently, though, and while the equipment in the kitchen is sufficient you should not plan on cooking a three course menu there. The bathroom is indeed quite small with the shower kind of integrated inbetween the sink and the toilet but we did not really see that as a problem. Also, it was always quiet in the evening and at night. You cannot watch TV but if you bring a DVD or a USB stick with a movie file you can easily play those and the sound system is really nice. Hans was really helpful and sent us detailed information about how to get to the apartment and gave advise on what not to miss in the city. On our last day he even let us stay in the apartment for as long was we wanted which was really helpful. The city center is not really far away and the apartment is also located in an interesting neighborhood, especially if you walk south towards Jægersborggade for example. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back!
The apartment was just like the pictures, very clean and Hans was very helpful and provided lots of information in his pdf; I would advise everyone who goes to stay to read this! The neighbourhood had easy transport to and from the airport, central and every other little boroughs in Copenhagen! Would love to visit his apartment again for future stays in Denmark! Thanks
We had a great time in Hans's apartment with all equipment needed and all the comfort. Location is very conveniant to visit Cophenage (10min to center). Hans was always available and very friendly. Thank you !
Everything was good. Nice location, nice host, nice facilities. Only except the tiny bathroom, but it was ok to take a shower. Pleasant experience in Copenhagen~
The apartment was clean and cosy, accurately described and comfortable. All my needs were immediately attended to!
If mankind is to survive we must create a renaissance based on the humanist ideas from ancient Greece - Plato, from Chris, from the Florentine renaissance - Nicholas of Cusa, from the intention of the founding fathers of the US - Benjamin Franklin, Alexander Hamilton, from the German Classical period - Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Schiller, Riemann etc. The purpose of my life is to help catalyze that. Right now I study Latin as to be able to translate Cusa and Kepler into danish.
