I greatly enjoyed my stay in Berlin. The location is great (food shops, bakeries, restaurants), it is easy to get to the city center(s) (with the U-Bahn 10 min. to Alex, with the bus M41 20 min to Potsdamer Platz etc.). The apartment is very nice and quiet. Comfortable bed, writing table, kitchen, bathroom, everything as described. Danny and his friend are responsive and flexible with the arrival and leaving arrangements.
This flat is really well-located and bright, everything has been said in the previous comments. Danny is a welcoming host who knows how to take care of his guests.
Absolutely great area, with a great community in the surrounding apartments. Although we did not meet directly with Danny, the caretaker of the apartment was helpful and nice during our stay. The only thing we would have changed is that the shower severely lacks water pressure, but other than that this truly is a hip sunny apartment near Kreuzberg! Well worth our stay.
Price/Performance, Danny's flat is a good deal. Everything works fine, the bed is really comfortable and I slept really well. Also the cooker works fine.
The shower is NOT a nightmare as some have said, though I admit, I have had better dreams. (Danny did mention he had taken steps to improve it.) If you have reasonable technical mind, you'll work it out in a couple of minutes. Just ask the host to show you. It's not that hard. Once, for about 30 seconds, I DID stand there covered in soap, thinking "shit", waiting for it to get warm again. But as soon as I found the courage to laugh about it, it DID get warm again and I DID feel fresh to start the day, every day.
If you are used to being wrapped in cotton wool and spoon-fed, go to the Hilton; if you are practically-minded and have a knack for simplicity, this is fair at a just price.
Danny's place was fine for my brother and I. It was clean and had the amenities that a couple of guys can get by with, though not having wifi was a problem and the shower is very poor.
The price seems fair and it's above a fantastic bar, in an area surrounded with plenty of things to do in the evening.
If you're looking for fancy, it's not for you... but we weren't looking for that, so it did the job.
Danny is great and the flat is in a brilliant location, just 3 mins walk from the underground. The bar on the street below (though not audible) is one of my favourites in the whole of Berlin. Run by an Brighton woman and her NYC husband. Super cool and friendly. The flat itself is really quiet and the high ceilings give a sense of more space given this is a studio flat, though probably best for just 2 people unless you are literally there to party and sleep. My only grumble is the shower - its diar!!!! But overall we loved staying in this flat. Thanks Danny.
Had i Nice stay at this apartment :-) everything went smooth. Its as described.
Danny apartment was perfect for me!,Great base for exploring Berlin, very nice neighbourhood with plenty of shops, bars, and transport options near.
The most I like of the apartment was that it was really sunny, I really enjoyed it.
The shower was quite a nightmare at the beginning, but with a bit of patience you can make it work!
I recommend Danny's apartment!
I´ve loved Danny´s appartment at the first sight. I believe in places that get good feelings and Danny´s flat is one.
Kreukohln is a wonderful area to stay and it made my first time in Berlin very special.
Danny's apartment was in a fantastic area, very well-connected to the city and full of interesting places to eat and drink. The apartment was spacious and comfortable and made the perfect place to relax after a long day of sightseeing.
