Bernardo was not there but his parents were happy to greet us. We arrived late and they quickly helped us arrange a cab to visit the volcano. They went above and beyond to help us enjoy Masaya and plan the next steps in our trip. The place is not fancy but it is comfortable and h…

Good value for the money. The room is a private bedroom with a private bathroom inside the room. The room is also locked from the outside so there was never any issue with safety. The room is centrally located a couple blocks from the central park & where all the entertainment is…

The rooms is not by any means fancy. And not that private thus you can hear the family and other guests. When it is said and done the family (and especially Bernado, who was traveling at the time we visted) was very hospitable. Bernardo helped with local tips. Over all good val…

Lovely family, not English speaking, but were committed to trying to communicate their very best. Good price. Breakfast included a coffee and a pastry. Very helpful, helped us find a safe place to park our car for the night. :)

Bernardo is offering rooms in his family's home which is run as a (low traffic) hostel in Masaya. Bernardo was in the US (and may live there) so everything on site was handled by his exceptionally friendly parents that speak no English. The room smelled like the family dog had re…

Response from Bernardo:
Thank you very much for your feedback John, we will use it to getting better. Please let me clarify some misunderstanding I noted in your review. 1. I'm not leaving in the USA John, I'm traveling now. As you can see in our page description "We are a family owned Hostal", we offer private bath rooms for very low price, we do not stated that I have to be there every time. 2. You may note in past review that people made a good recommendation because at that time I served them as a tourist guy without any charge, that is something that I used to do just because I love to do it and I will do it again once I comeback, but please don't believe that is part of the package you paid for. That is something I just do because I love interacting with tourist in Nicaragua, is not my work to do it, I have my own and very professional job. 3. I'm not the only person in house who speak English, my sister and brother they speak perfect English and they live in the house at that time. Thank you John, I hope you have a great time in Nicaragua, enjoy your trip, everything is gonna be ok !!
