Just 24km from State Highway 1 you enter the hidden world of Rangiwahia. Rangiwahia is quiet, ideal for downtime or a good nights sleep whilst travelling. 3 neighbouring Native Reserves give a range of Bush walks and with Rangiwahia hut walk only 20mins away by car or an hour to Tongariro or to ski Ruapehu, it's a great base for local activities. Clear creek to cool down in or great swimming holes only a short drive. REACT is a working creative centre .

The space
1930's wooden house with 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, large country style kitchen and lounge with woodburner. Porch with lovely vista of bush and paddocks, with Kereru (native pidgeon) swooping past. Clean and comfortable abode with wooden floors throughout.
Moments up the road is the Rangiwahia Environmental Arts Centre.
Large backgarden to run around in, with reserve next door for short walks.
All linen and towels provided.

Rural get away. Only 24km from State highway 1, we are situated on the foothills of the Ruahines. We have splendid bush walks both locally and by short car ride away to cater to all abilities. Great swimming holes nearby, and creek within walking distance.
Tennis court (you can borrow rackets from us) by short walk, next to Rangiwahia Hall, where free interet accesss is also available. A good children's playground is there too.
Next door (short walk) is Rangiwahia Environmental Arts Centre, (REACT) a working creative space, Unique D-I-Y Sustianable Creativity. Growing willow for sculpture, with reuse elements, and an emphasis on community participation and public spectacle. A range of workshops are available by arrangement.
If you wish to plant some roots whilst in Rangiwahia, entire about REACT's tree planting for regeneration activites.
