The Space

Great for two or 4 traveling. There is a KING Bed and you also can order an AIR Mattress for the other two guests.
Your bath room is just out side your bedroom three steps down....it is a narrow sized but full bathroom. Very cute and functional.

We have lived here for over 55 years and enjoy the history of this great area:

"The Town of East Marion was founded in 1836, to honor local native General Francis Marion, who fought with notation during the American Revolution."
(website hidden).

"Sailing the east end waters one can't help but think about all the history. Most of it precedes the 1900's. Starting off, Orient Point, which is the most north point of the North Fork was a landing place for Indians commuting between Connecticut and Long Island.

The Indians that dwelled on that outer-most section of the North Fork were called the Poquatuck. It was with this tribe that deals were made to buy many of the hamlets of the Town of Southold, mostly back in the mid 1600's.
Then Orient was actually called Oysterponds because of the large shellfish ponds that are still there to this day. Five now-famous families received land grants from the British throne. The names King, Terry, Vail, Latham, and Tuthill are still everywhere. Of course they also had to deal with the Poquatucks.
During the American Revolution the British Navy sailed some of the evacuated British troops from Boston to the South Fork mostly in Sag Harbor and East Hampton Village. Sag Harbor was already a busy whaling port by then. Many of the homes that housed British troops still exist in Sag Harbor. During the Revolutionary War the British supply and support vessels were parked right off Orient point."

  • Me and my girlfriend stayed with our infant daughter at Maria and Julie´s. Their house is super cozy and the backyard is amazing. The pictures on Airbnb don´t really do the house justice. The room was big, quiet, clean and bright with nice views over the garden. We felt incredibly welcomed by Maria and Julie who had good tips for the area and were great to talk to. There was a lot to do near the house besides lounging beside the pool. There is a lavender farm and then the beach within a few minute walking distance. A lot of wineries and downtown Greenport are also just a few minutes away with bike or car. We were very happy with our stay and can´t recommend this listing enough. Thank you again Julie and Maria :)

  • Maria and Julie could not have been more lovely hosts - simply wonderful. The home was comfortable, the room was great, and I wish I lived a little closer to Maria and Julie so we could visit them more often! A really memorable stay. We biked around the area, used their barbecue to make fresh fish and veggies, and made liberal use of the pool (which was phenomenal). Can't wait to come back next year, thanks again for your incredible hospitaqlity!

  • Maria and Julie were lovely hosts! They were very welcoming, accommodating, and friendly. The room was lovely. It had lots of windows and so lots of natural light. It was very clean with fresh linens and towels. You even get your own little bathroom. We didn't spend much time at the house, but the pool looked great too. I would highly recommend staying with them. You get a great room for a good price.

  • Maria and Julie's Bed and Breakfast was a wonderful place to stay on the North Fork of Long Island. All of our expectations were met during our stay, and we had a very pleasant time, thanks to our gracious host.

The room clean, neat and spacious. The Bed and Breakfast had a warm homey feel that invited you to relax and be comfortable. The guest bathroom is on the smaller side, but still functional. No problems with hot water or the shower. Our host also was sure to provide us with clean bath towels when needed. We used the pool on one afternoon, which was adequately clean and a comfortable temperature (without having put the heater on, just the sun warming the pool during the day was enough). There is also a fun little diving board on the pool!

The Bed and Breakfast itself is in a great location. A short walk in one direction leads you to a real treat, a beautiful private beach down a flight of steps. An equally short walk in the opposite direction leads to a lovely Lavender Farm that was a lot of fun. We spent most of our time outside of the Bed and Breakfast, and we were pleased with how accessible everything we wanted to do was from our location in East Marion. Greenport is very near by for restaurants and shopping, Orient Point State Park is also close, definitely worth half a day there to relax on the beach. Of course, the whole North Fork is dotted with vineyards and wineries, the farthest of which is still only a 25 minute drive from East Marion.

Our gracious host greeted us each morning with hot coffee and pleasant conversation. She offered us fruit and a few other snacks here and there, and generally made us feel at home, if not like family! We truly enjoyed our stay and would love to stay here again on our next trip!

For those looking for an affordable place to stay in a homey, comfortable Bed and Breakfast on the North Fork, I highly recommend staying here!

  • I stayed for one night as I had a wedding to attend in the area. Julie was extremely welcoming and the room was big, clean and private. The back garden and pool are spectacular! Thanks for your hospitality!!

  • We can't say enough nice things about Maria and Julie. They made our stay so incredibly pleasant and were super, super accommodating to our needs. The room is very large and was impeccably clean - as was the bathroom. Yes, the bathroom is separate from the room, but it is in a private part of the house near the bedroom - it felt completely private. We only stayed a very short amount of time so we can't comment on any other amenities, but we highly recommend staying with Maria and Julie if you need a room in the area!!

  • Our stay was fantastic, this house is very clean and minutes away to a beautiful area where you can swim and where you see beautiful sunsets at night. This place is in a great area with many vineyards to discover and an interesting Greek community and many good restaurants. Our host, Maria, was very welcoming, accomodating our needs and making sure we had everything we needed and was very inviting and respectful. We highly recommend staying with Maria at her house, the bedroom where we stayed in was spacious and quiet and we had no problems communicating with our host and the swimming pool is quite nice.

  • My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Maria and Julie's place. Despite our very last-minute request, Maria was very quick in responding and accommodating us for 2 nights. The location and the pool area are especially beautiful and quiet. Definitely make sure to take the time to relax at the pool and to enjoy sunset at the private beach. Maria and Julie were very kind and hospitable and made us feel very welcome. We'd recommend this place especially to people who like the combination of a personal experience and privacy.

  • Maria and her family made us feel incredibly welcome. My husband and I needed a room at the very last minute and we could not have been happier with our accommodations. Many of the local hotel/motels are right off the main road in Greenport which makes for a noisy and rather unpleasant stay. Our room at Maria's home was clean, quiet, cozy and very private. The pool in the backyard is beautiful. So be sure to make time to enjoy the water during your stay!
