A bright, spacious, basement apartment in the well established, quiet, neighbourhood of Swansea. A few minutes walk to Jane Subway, and a short 15-30 min ride into the heart of downtown Toronto. (depending on one's destination).
Completely self contained with it's own entrance, this cozy space makes friends with the vertically challenged. My 5'8" frame fits perfectly and you need to pay attention and watch your head only where the bulkhead crossects the room.
Ideal for a couple or a single adult, the apartment boasts an open kitchen complete with all that is required. (dishes, pots/pans etc)
A full bathroom.
The back garden is a welcome retreat and offers private green space, although the neighbouring parks are all close at hand. Nature lovers will enjoy the proximity of High Park and Sunnyside Beach, while the neighbourhood itself will invite you to explore it's tree lined streets and connecting paths.
For the more urban traveller, shops, restaurants and boutiques line the streets of Bloor West Village where you can find anything which you may need within a 10 min walk.
Interaction with Guests
I am helpful and knowledgable, have been known to invite my guests for dinner but no longer live at the listing. I am close at hand and will interact as my schedule permits. If the guest prefers their privacy, I respect their wishes.
Subway is about a 5-10 min walk. Bloor-Danforth Line and close to Jane Station.
No laundry after 10 pm.
Watch your head on the bulk head!
Please run the dehumidifer when leaving the space if staying in summer.
Please leave the heater on low when leaving the space if staying in winter.
Please use the bathroom fan after every shower or bath.
Bedroom window pops out for emergency exit.
Jeannie is a fantastic, sweet and caring host. I found the apartment very cozy and cute, it was exactly what I was looking for. The one thing that made me feel really welcome was that Jeannie left some welcoming food, she was very thoughtful since she knew I would be arriving late in the evening. I would definitely recommend her location and I would love to be able to stay at the apartment when I return to Toronto in the near future. Jeannie, thank you for everything! All the best!
Jeannie was a great host. The apartment was spotless and the kitchen was equipped with a few essentials which is such a nice touch. I was staying at Jeannie's for an extended period and she even offered me Christmas decorations, as I was there over the holidays. The apartment is in a very nice, safe neighbourhood and is a 5 minute walk from the subway as well as great little shops and restaurants in Bloor West. I would definitely recommend!
Jeannie was a very helpful and respectful host being available if any issues cropped up but giving us our space in the meantime. Highly recommend this place as a quiet place out of the busy downtown but very accessible to the rest of the city. Thanks Jeannie
Jeannie was awesome and a friendly host.
Jeannie is very friendly, close, respectful and cheerful. Our stay at Jennie's home has been genial because she made us feel at home despite the cold Canadian winter. The appartment is cozy, very clean and noiseless, besides good located.
I strongly recommend staying at Jennie's home and in our case we will not hesitate to do it again as soon as we can. We have been very fortunate to find a person like her.
I really enjoyed my time staying at Jeannie's. She was a wonderful hostess, very perceptive, laid back, cheerful and caring. Her attention to detail was amazing and it showed as she had everything and more I needed for my stay readily available. A fully stocked kitchen and bathroom, lots of towels and bedding.
The space was very enjoyable, cozy, and extremely clean. I must say, I was entirely comfortable.
The area was safe and quiet and has all needs in just a short walk. Lots of restaurants, grocery stores, bakeries, coffee shops, yoga studios etc. You name it you will find it here. Very relaxing. Also, from Jeannie's place a 3-5min walk to Jane subway station and in about 20 mins you're downtown, in the heart of Toronto. In all, Jeannie surpassed my expectations and I would highly recommend staying with her.
Wonderful location, great space to stay in and very warm, generous and gracious host! Close to subway and great local restaurants and shopping. Apartment was comfortable, beautifully decorated and well stocked for guests! It was a great pleasure to stay there and I'd return to this location again!
A vibrant and energetic individual with a passion for travel and exploring different culture. Not afraid to step out and engage in the world around, you will find me walking the streets of the cities I live in as well as the cities I'm visiting.
