Stay here if you are looking for relaxation, easy accessibility to downtown and opportunity to swap stories of travels. You can make yourself at home in the kitchen and have the opportunity to hear advice on the city's best spots should you desire.
The home is across the street from Franklin & Marshall college, mere seconds from a gorgeous park and a brief walk to downtown (about 15 minutes).
The guest room is on the second floor, right beside the bathroom.
In addition to the home owner, there are two fun housemates who live on the third floor.
I'll make sure you have some delicious coffee each morning and will do whatever I can to make your stay a Lancaster a successful one. I love giving advice on the best places to eat, drink and see in town, so if you ask, I'll help you as much as I can.
I will typically be around for questions you may have. I will also be quick to answer if you text or call me before or during your stay.
My house is in a beautiful neighborhood that is easy to get to all the places in Lancaster city that you want to be, but peaceful and quiet when you need a break.
There is a bus stop right outside my house. Also, you can get downtown with a 15-20 minute walk.
I also can lend one bike if you are interested.
I host on airbnb because I genuinely love getting to know new people and helping you learn about my awesome little city.
We stayed at Laura's during the Lancaster Roots & Blues Festival; it was our first AirBnB stay.
The room and house are spotless, the kitchen is a good size and well-equipped; ditto for the bathroom.
The house is located in a quiet neighborhood, across from a park and museum, and is about 10 blocks from downtown.
There is 2-hour free street parking from 7AM-6PM, and overnight from 6PM-7AM - so if you park after 4PM, you're good until 7AM!
Laura was very friendly in correspondence, as were her two roommates whom we met in person. Our experience was totally satisfactory, and we're telling all our friends.
My stay at Laura's was wonderful. Laura was actually out of town- out of the country in fact but she was still super attentive and kept in touch and answered any questions I had. Her friend Grace welcomed us in and was also super warm. And the accommodations were just as advertised. Thank you for a great airbnb experience :)
Nice place, right across from the campus. Basically this is off-campus housing with on-street parking. We arranged to meet one of the residents so they could let us in and give us a key. That was around 6pm. The place is clean and seemed quiet and the beds looked comfortable. But it wasn't evident that there was a separate lock for the room we were renting. No problem, we thought--we'll unload later and went off to get a bite to eat at Lancaster Brewing Company. Unfortunately, our car was broken into there and our laptops were stolen. Put a real damper on the atmosphere (despite a GREAT meal at LBC), so we elected to skip staying and drove 2 hours to get home instead. Laura was trying to figure out how to refund at least a portion of the pre-pay, but airbnb had no way of assisting this. She says she'll take care of it after airbnb pays her. Anyway, Laura is nice, but there are cameras all over Lancaster for a reason!
Laura was a very hospitable and laid back host. She was always in contact and very willing to engage with me. Her home is always bustling with energy and is a nice homey place to return to after a day in Lancaster. I would recommend Laura as a host to anyone who goes to Lancaster!
Great stay at Laura's house. Supposed to stay one night ended up with two.
Laura is a great host and I highly recommend staying with her if you are in Lancaster.
My second stay with Laura was just as comfortable and warm as the first. She is very relaxed and welcoming, has very nice friends and made me feel right at home. I recommend her highly!
Was greeted by Laura upon arrival to a nicely restored home in a very pretty town. Everything was clean and orderly. GPS worked well to get me there. Reccomend.
Laura was an excellent host. She was very welcoming and personable. The accomadations were well kept and the location was ideal.
Everything went fine. I was only there for a small amount of time, but I was able to sleep quietly. House is in a great, historic, scenic part of Lancaster next to a church and across from the park.
I really enjoyed my stay with Laura in Lancaster. She is personable, open and hospitable. I was visiting my daughter at F&M, so the location couldn't have been better. Parking on the weekend was easy, the room and beds were not fancy, but perfectly comfortable. She has plans to upgrade the furnishings and appointments which will make it even better. Plenty of hot water for the shower and good coffee offered in the morning - she was a barista for a time. The best part of my stay, though, was meeting Laura, her roommates and the Swedish couch surfer who arrived to round out the crew on Saturday night. She attracts a very nice crowd.
