We are on a one-mile loop in a wooded rural area, with an elevation gain of about 200 feet. It is pleasant to walk/run around without much traffic. If you come on a Friday, be sure to check out Charlottesville's City Market between Water and South streets early Saturday morning. Lots of vendors selling breakfast/lunch goodies as well as fresh vegetables and fruit, and local crafts.
No public transit. Park in the turn-around area.
The room is nicely furnished and very comfortable. We had a couple of delicious hot breakfasts with Lori and Jim; they are interesting and personable hosts. There were no surprises - everything in the listing was accurate. Their dog Mia is sweet.
We enjoyed our two-night stay at Lori and Jim's place. They are gracious hosts. The house is located in beautiful woods just off the highway. Very easy to get around. Bedroom is clean and spacious, bed comfortable, and shower great. Mia the poodle is cute and friendly.
Lori made us feel right at home during our two night stay. Her place is clean, comfortable, and picturesque! My husband and I enjoyed what little time we had to chat with her. The location is very convenient for getting around the area. We hope to visit again!
About the Host, Lk
We live in Charlottesville, VA, on forested land that's very close to town but has a definite rural vibe. We love to hike, ski, fish, read long books and write. We have a miniature poodle puppy and hope to replace our small flock of chickens soon. We also own a house in Sacramento, CA, that we hope to retire to eventually.
