Have a Wonderful and Pleasant Stay!
Stunning place and fantastic host. Soooo wonderful to stay upcountry at this incredible house. My mother, my teen daughter and I were most comfortable and happy.
We showed up at the house after 10pm. John was there to greet us. Since it was so late, we didn't have a chance to stop at the grocery store to pick up breakfast food. John brought us eggs, bread and coffee. He even pick us some bananas, by flashlight! We also had a late check out, so John let us have access to another of his rentals. We were able to do some hikes and then use the shower and bathroom before we had to catch our flight back home.
Amazing place and helpful host! Liked it so much I'm coming back to stay again before I fly home :)
The Mt. view house on the hill is located near the town of Haiku and the north shore. It was a delight to show up on the first day and see the 180 degree views of the 'jungle' and ocean. Great stay all around and John was a gracious host. We would come back in a heart beat.
John was super welcoming! We arrived after dark and were a little confused where to park, but John showed up on his bike and directed us towards the house. It's a big space, with lots of light and little lizards. Ping the cat is awesome, too.
The location is great, especially if you're planning on driving the road to Hana or up to Haleakala. We spent a couple days exploring the smaller towns like Makawao and Paia, too.
John was great about answering our questions and giving recommendations. Would totally recommend staying here!

I particularly enjoy meeting guests and assisting them with recommendations on where to dine and in selecting Island activities. Our staff is also available to accompany guests on their adventures and with outfitting.
