Peaceful, quiet, private location. Makes a great base to explore Cooperstown and the surrounding environs.
Beautiful and clean home! Scott was available by email and phone with any questions I had. As other reviewers have noted, the house has a great kitchen for cooking and eating. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are visiting Cooperstown but looking to stay a little outside of town.
We had a wonderful time at Scott's house. We walked in and there was a new bottle of wine waiting for us. The house was clean, spacious and warm. And just minutes away from the Baseball Hall of Fame! Any sports enthusiast looking to visit Cooperstown will be very well taken care of at Scott's house. Make sure to eat and Alex and Ika's - great spot!
Beautiful house with a spectacular view. Lovely setting. Big open space. Kitchen was filled with everything needed for cooking. Bedrooms were comfortable and clean, as were the bathroom.
Would happily stay at this home again.
The size and outfitting - cooking supplies, linens, grill - of the house exceeded my expectations given the description on the website. The house is on a quiet country road looking south on mountains, so it is very relaxing. Scott was a great host who supplied good directions - reminding me not to plan to take the bridge close to the house - and recommendations of places to see and eat in Cooperstown.
This is a beautiful home with gorgeous surroundings, perfect for a family with children. My husband, parents and sister-in-law, my 4 year-old girl and myself enjoyed a wonderful log weekend at Scott's place. It's spacious and open enough so you never feel like you are bumping against each other. The kitchen is fully equipped and inviting to the joys of cooking and sharing a nice family meal. The rooms are comfortable - specially the master suite - and the bathrooms are nice. My little girl had a blast playing outside and admiring the changing foliage. You do need a car to get into town and do your shopping but coming from LA, everything was a short-distance ride for us. And the Ommegang Brewery is only a few miles down the road. I will say the house can easily fit 3 couples, or a large family with kids. Only complain was that the upstairs bathroom wasn't 100% clean - on the other hand, I'm a cleanness freak. And if you do have little kids in your party, noise can be an issue for the downstair's renter. Agree with the driveway: big incline, hard to maneuver. But overall our stay was delightful! I highly recommend staying at Scott's awesome house.
Scott's place is beautiful and close to Cooperstown, without feeling like you are a town at all. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils and plates. You may want to stock up on a few paper good items, such as paper towels.
Overall, it was a great stay!
The house is beautiful, ideal for three couples or families with children. The kitchen is very well equipped. The driveway, however, could be a challenge, especially in a rain storm. Location is near Cooperstown so convenient to town yet is rural and peaceful.
