Thanks to Brooke and her home, I had a wonderful time living in New York for the past three months. The room is cozy with energizing natural light. Brooke provided a fan in the heat, and extra blankets in the cold; as well as much appreciated wise words and conversations. The common areas are covered with beautiful artwork making the environment rather inviting and inspiring. The kitchen and living room areas provided me with the ability to cook as well as entertain myself with TV & movies.Getting around the neighborhood is simple with bus stops less than a block away, and the G Train within a 10 minute walk, and the F train within a 15 minute walk (or 5 minute bus ride). There is a super amazing organic natural market about two blocks away, and it has amazing food and ingredients.
Overall, I could have not asked for a better experience.

Brooke was a kind and hospitable host. She was very friendly & helpful, as well as having a clean, comfortable and cozy home (brownstone). Highest recommendation for anyone looking to stay in/near Fort Greene, Clinton Hill, Bed-Stuy, The Pratt Institute or downtown Brooklyn!

Published author, snow bird, retired stockbroker and financial analyst who loves to travel, go to movies and shows and cook. India is my favorite country since I have been there seven times. China is my next stop. Gourmet food is my hobby and I will be glad to share my favorites ethnic restaurants, cookbooks and "foodie" shops where you can freak out over the hundreds of varieties or meals, spices, teas and herbs that can tingle your tastes buds in this city. My life motto is from Patrick Dennis' book Auntie Mame, "Life is a banquet and too many poor suckers are starving to death." In New York, that's only possible if you ignore the world around you.
