This cozy and calm room, called "Bluebell", inspired by French Provence and Japanese ryokan, is situated on the first floor of a medieval house (built in 1773 and completely renovated in 2013). Bluebell room has an amazing en- suite bathroom with a rain-like shower and a delightful view of the Grund valley. The bathroom is seamlessly accessible from the bed room ( no door in- between).
An open fully equipped kitchen MIELE is situated on the ground floor and you are welcome to use it. You will even find some cooking books in various languages in case you forgot your favorite receipes.
You are also welcome to use our open-air cosy courtyard during the sunny days.
Free high speed internet (Wi-Fi) is available to our guests.
The house is situated on the high ground of the right bank of the river Alzette - in the heart of the old and undeniably most charming part of Luxembourg-city, called Grund, which is UNESCO heritage. The place is just behind Abbey Neumuenster, which is now famous for its Sundays jazz brunches, occasional open air performance and other concerts.
You will be at convenient crossroads:
- walking distance to the the railway station, Petrusse Valley and to all main attractions in the city of Luxembourg;
- close to the airport (10 minutes taxi ride or 25 min by public transportation)
Nearby public bus stop is just 5 minutes away. Our lively neighborhood includes a couple of popular bars (Scotts and Brigitte) with terraces facing the Alzette river, a fine Japanese restaurant (Kamakura), an Italian restaurant (Dal Notaro), a German-style Stübe (Bosso), a French fine dining restaurant (Brasserie Mansfeld), a 2-Stars Michelin Restaurant (Mosconi) and many more.
A nice and long bike path departs from the center of Grund.
If you a morning-jogger you will love the chilly hilly challenge of the valley... and you will not be alone!
Another room of this historic house, called GRRRund (see our second airbnb listing), inspired by POP art ( Roy Lichtenstein) is situated on the top floor and has en-suite gorgeous bathroom with WC.
If you wish to rent the whole house, including the courtyard, please visit our separate listing called "Panorhama - GRRReat in GRRRund". You can book the whole house with two rooms for EUR 170/night.
Feel like at home... and please treat it as such.
No smoking indoor, although it is very easy to pop outside and smoke in the courtyard.

At Bluebell I felt even better than back home because the place is stylish and comfortable at the same time. Natacha is a kind and attentive host, so we gotfar more than expected. The view is great, the place is quiet but close to the city center. Bluebell is a great place to stay in Luxembourg! P.s. That awesome rainfall shower totally made my day! :)
I's very well and warmly hosted in luxembourg city by Natacha ! She takes a good care of me, showing me practical details in the house and informing me about the city. I wish we had much time to chat and know each other - having many subjects to share, from Japan to dance and travels. I was the only guest during my stay (the upstairs room was empty). I definitely enjoy the quietness of the house. Natacha invited me to walk from the Grund to the Kirchberg plateau in the morning to go to my meetings and commitee - what a nice walk in the morning ! Thank you Natacha !
I lucked out - I rented the "Bluebell" room in October 2013 and really liked all of it - room/house, location and host Natacha. The house is quiet, parking was easy, and the elevator to the Ville Haute is just a short walk from the house. The room and bathroom are comfortable, clean and at the same time personal and minimalist in the good sense of the word. The Ikebana was a great touch ;)
Meeting Natacha was a pleasure - perfect communication and a lovely person - I plan to come back when I need a place to stay in Luxembourg!

I live and work in Luxembourg which reminds me on crossroads of... diversity.
...the place where a baker can speak (at least) 4 languages and where foreigners feel like at home.
When the city feels too small or too cosy or too chilly, we like to travel...
