🗺️ Off-Grid Cabin w/ Mountain View’s•Walk to Beach•Hiker’s Basecamp

🏕️This off-grid cabin sleeps 1–2 and is nestled on Oʻahu’s scenic North Shore, just a short walk (<1 mile) to the beach and minutes from the Polynesian Cultural Center. Enjoy lush mountain views and nearby trails for hiking

⚠️NOTE: This is not a luxury resort—it’s a rugged, back-to-nature experience. Expect bugs, geckos, and the occasional rainstorm. Ideal for travelers craving nature, simplicity and adventure

The space
This simple accommodation creates a distraction free space to reconnect. The "summer camp" set up, memory foam twin beds is the perfect place to create memories. Bring the campfire stories and we'll provide everything else. You’ll love peering over the banana trees and watching the sun disappear beyond the mountain. There is incredible stargazing at this site. To top off your vacation bliss, the cabin is just a half mile from the beach!

With other guests on the property, it’s the perfect chance to swap stories around the fire, make new friends from around the world, and feel part of a little community in the wild.

📘CHECK-OUT OUR GUIDE BOOK FOR LOCAL RECOMMENDATIONS

What to Expect:
⛺️Cabin: Two Twin beds with room to store luggage on top. Solar powered string lights, wall mounted fans, towels, camping cookware, and picnic area for reminiscing about the days adventure. (Running on solar energy, please help us conserve power by using energy thoughtfully.)

🦎Geckos Inside the Cabin – These friendly little lizards are part of Hawaiian life. You’ll likely see them on walls or ceilings. They're harmless and actually help control insects, but if you're not used to wildlife, it's something to consider

🚽Shared Off‑Grid Bathhouse: Solar powered, flushing toilets, and showers but no potable water. Currently running cold showers as we are currently adding more batteries and panels to our solar system to keep up with demand. Running on a propane water heater. Guests should be conservative with their water use since this is an off-grid facility with limited supply.

🐜Wildlife & Insects: Nature plays host to local critters—frogs, geckos, chickens and yes, mosquitoes, and ants—so please don’t be surprised if you see them. We do our best with treating the surrounding areas to keep bugs to a minimal. We ask you to clean up after yourselves and seal/close any leftover food to help keep the insects to a minimum.

⚠️PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS CAMPING IN HAWAII, it is not a luxurious accommodation. (I know, we’ve said it a couple of times but it’s important that you know and that you are not caught off guard.) We cannot control the weather and we cannot control the bugs. Expect bugs, mud when it rains, geckos and wild chickens.

🌦️SUGGESTION: Check the weather report in advance to ensure that you are prepared for any weather conditions that could occur. Bring any bug repellent that you might need. Hawaii's rainy season is from October-March. Keep in mind that Hawaii is a tropical island so PLEASE be prepared for mosquitoes and other insects.

Born and raised on Oahu. I love being outdoors and hanging out with my dogs and family. Currently serving in Hawaii Army National Guard. I love camping and keeping it simple so I created a camp spot for others like myself to be able to camp but to have a little more amenities while camping. I found the perfect in between of roughing it while being comfortable.
