The Space

24 hours shop across the road plus ample free parking.

Situated on a main road into Belfast, yet set back far enough to be very quiet, this modern, bright space offers all the comforts of home for your visit to Belfast. Public transport is very frequent and you can be in the centre of the city in just 15 minutes or less. A 24 hour shop across the road sells everything from fruit and vegetables to frozen ready meals and painkillers. The shop also includes a post office and a subway. You have full use the kitchen in the apartment. There is great wifi throughout the apartment and drivers have access to free parking just outside. The room is spacious and has an ensuite with shower. Dining, kitchen and living area are available for shared use. There are four pubs within 10 minute walking distance and lots of takeaway restaurants within easy reach. A shopping centre with cinema is also within easy walking distance or by public transport.

Guest Access

Guests have full access to the lounge, dining and kitchen area - plus their ensuite room of course.

Interaction with Guests

My favourite part of hosting is sharing a cup of tea or glass of wine with my recently arrived guests. I am at my apartment most evenings but often am working during the day.

The Neighborhood

My neighbourhood has everything you could want - pubs and restaurants within walking distance. Shops and takeaways plus fantastic public transport into town - just 15 mins away...

Getting around

Some of the best public transport in the world. Train is a 10 minute walk and a range of buses and 'taxi-buses' pass every few minutes outside the apartment block.

Other Things to Note

Breakfast is on a self service basis from a range of complimentary cereals, porridge, bread for toast, tea, coffee etc. Guests are welcome to cook their own breakfast with their own food.

  • Eimear was such a perfect host. As a guide herself she gave us some great tips on getting around Belfast and for our trip to the Giants Causeway the following day. Room was lovely and the shower was great! (Newly installed) would recommend staying to anyone! Thanks again Eimear!

  • Eimear was the best host we could have wished for! From the first minute we arrived she treated us so nicely! Our room with the en-suite was clean and tidy, the whole house had that friendly atmosphere to it. But the best thing was really Eimear's hospitality, we really appreciated all her help! She even organised our tourist-bus sightseeing tour and gave us tips about different things to make our stay even better. I would highly recommend Eimear's lovely accommodation to anyone wishing to visit Belfast. Good location, very quiet place, convenient to city centre. Thank you again!

  • Elimear was such a great, professional hostess to my sister and I. We were only at her place for one night, but it was such a relaxing time and we really got some good advice on what to do and what to see in the short time we were there. Thanks for the memories!

  • Eimear was a very nice and relaxed host. Some confusion in the beginning with the check-out date of my predecessors and my check-in was quickly resolved and my room prepared and ready on time. The location makes it easy to reach the city centre by bus or taxi, but is far enough away to be quiet and relaxing. The room and ensuite were clean and the bed very comfortable.

  • From the moment we got into the house we were updated that we had no access to our bathroom(Which we were offered in the listing) and would be woken up every morning at 820am. She kept saying "I am glad this is happening while you guys are here and not another guest" as if because we are younger we don't need the same respect as an older guest. Not the way I expected to spend my vacation. It was too late to cancel at this point. We also were offered breakfast in the listing but all the eggs were bad and ran out of the bread by the next day so we had to supply our own breakfast. Then the most horrific thing happened we returned to the house on the evening of the third day both the host and I believed that we were there for four days but the host did not double check on this, so she was not prepared for the next guest. She forced us to leave after letting us pack and eat our food we bought which was in the fridge. It was around an hour after we got back. This was the only place for us to receive wifi in the area and had no other way of finding out where we needed to go. She rudely said, "You are no longer welcome in my home and need to leave now! If I was you I would worry about a place to sleep tonight." At this point it was 9pm we are two young girls being thrown on the street completely blamed for her mistake. This was my first experience as an airbnb guest and I was so appalled at the situation that I am very turned off from using it again.

    Response from Eimear:

Brianna - thank you for leaving a review of your experience. I am somewhat surprised by the degree that it differs from my experience of your stay. I am confident that the 47 positive reviews that go before yours will be a more accurate reflection of the experiences guests have in my home.

The situation with the inaccessible ensuite was communicated to you an entire week before your arrival - the time the builders needed access was agreed to by you in our correspondence long before you got here. I was so delighted that you were so cool with the situation and that you and your friend took it in your stride. I was indeed glad that it was being resolved during your visit and that the works were not delayed to have a knock on effect on other guests for a longer period. I remain very grateful to you as I was at the time (which I repeatedly conveyed) that you were happy to use the full main bathroom.

As for breakfast I can understand that you may have been inexperienced in this regard but I do not provide a cooked breakfast nor food for a cooked breakfast. Breakfast is self-service from the ample supplies of cereals, toast, tea and coffee etc. I do make my kitchen available for guests to cook their own food which you availed of.

I also would like to inform future prospects about the situation at your check out. I deliberately leave check-in and check-out very flexible to assist my guests - in the busy season, flexible check-in can be challenging as a host - but so far I have kept it flexible.

I was certain you had only booked for 3 nights and was surprised when you informed me it was 4 nights... (I regret that I did not check that at the time) When the other (super cool) guest arrived and you were still in town I made great strides to get in touch with you, I called the local hostel and enquired about price and availability - (you will be able to find details of my efforts if you review our airbnb correspondence) I would never have put you out on the street without a bed. My living room floor was a back up option if you had not been able to find somewhere to sleep.

Once you knew of the situation you were happy to cook a meal and have drinks with the next guest - you showed very little concern about where you might be sleeping despite my repeated efforts to assist you in this regard - you were happy enjoying the great company of my next guest....and the nice rum... That I ultimately encouraged you to find a bed many hours after you were initially due to leave while you showed so little concern in that regard yourself is testament to the hospitality that my other guest reviews so frequently refer to...my assistance was way, way beyond the call of duty on that occasion!

Mistakes happen and I understand that you might want to hold me responsible for the error - but your review is not an accurate reflection of the situation from my point of view - our correspondence backs this up.

Despite this situation - and even this review (thank you airbnb for allowing my response) airbnb remains one of the best things I have ever done in my life. I love hosting people from all over the world - I will continue to love airbnb and to host guests from around the world.

I also maintain that you and your friend were lovely guests and despite this review I would continue to recommend you to any future airbnb host provided you are able to show signs of taking responsibility in the event of mistakes being made....

    Regards

    Eimear

  • Eimear is a super friendly person who made us feel at home right from the beginning. On our last night, we parked our rental car off street beside the residence. We used the kitchen to prepare for dinner simple meals already prepared bought from a food store across the street. We prepared our breakfast with products provided to us. The shower in the ensuite was not operational, we took our showers in the shared bathroom without any problem. The apartment is located at a good distance from downtown Belfast, but Eimear initiated us to take a black taxi shared with others for 1 pound 30: it was quick and pleasant to use. We had three good night sleep. We highly recommend Eimear B&B.

  • Our host was fantastic - the room was clean and tidy and comfortable and it was convenient having an ensuite. It took less than 15 minutes by bus, or Taxi service - ask Eimear to teach you about that "only in Belfast" experience! We had no problem finding our way there and back each day. Eimear is friendly and very easy to chat to and enjoys having people from all over the world stay. Highly recommended!
